Buffalo Bills set to close shop in Buffalo

Recommended Posts

Owner with no family desire to continue in town. Check.

Coach that an elderly retread that made us below average. Check.

Marketing department with a captive audience but without anything to sell. Check.

Stadium that's crippled by age & any reasonable amenities equal to a row house ready for tomato pickers in South Florida. Check.

Town that lost it's luster 30 + years ago & expanded most social services / bus routes into most major suburbs. Check.

Socialist state of politics that pays most of it's money for previous corruptions allowed by the entitlement systems. Check.

I'd safely say when the Bills get sold to the highest bidder, the proud remnants of our past will explain through excuses how they tried to make all of it happened but they couldn't succeed over outside forces of wealth attributed to simple economics. The town is gone, most of what's left is people trapped by tradition or their own selfish entitlements that they're unable to give up.

Please land at the Buffalo airport & drive in any direction for 10 minutes, it's a time-warp circa 1972 at best. I'd blend it with a bad trailor park & an alcohol addiction, minus money outside of federal support to pay for it.

Is there an English translation available?

I'm going to let you all in on a dirty little secret that the NFL won't want anyone to know. Hell, they probably won't admit it to themselves. There aren't too many markets out there that the NFL can go to, set up shop, and be guaranteed success. The NFL has a market with an established fanbase in Buffalo. I don't think that's something that they're just willing to throw out despite some of the cons that the franchise currently has going for it.

Corrreect. The Bills are just halfway decent and the Stadium is packed. They draw regionally with a huge fanbase bleed into Canada and Toronto. The NFL isnt throwing that away on a whim.
