papazoid Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 The penalty was costly for the Jaguars, as it moved the Bills from third-and-10 at the 17-yard line to first-and-goal at the 8-yard line. Buffalo scored a touchdown two plays later. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/12/08/jaguars-jason-babin-fined-21000/
Rubes Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I'd like to see him fined for the intentional forearm to Freddie's head.
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I'd like to see him fined for the intentional forearm to Freddie's head. Amen, brother. Although I'm pretty sure that did more damage to Babin's arm.
jimmy10 Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I'd like to see him fined for the intentional forearm to Freddie's head. Hear hear. That was a ridiculously late hit, right at the head. Yes, probably hurt him more than it hurt FredEx, but he was still going right for the head. Total BS.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Hear hear. That was a ridiculously late hit, right at the head. Yes, probably hurt him more than it hurt FredEx, but he was still going right for the head. Total BS. i love how the announcer (buerline) tried to defend it at first, and then he saw the replay and was dumbfounded.
Dean Cain Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 The forearm or knee to the back of the head to a defenseless player is a joke. Where's the $50k fine?
RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 i love how the announcer (buerline) tried to defend it at first, and then he saw the replay and was dumbfounded. Announcers are programmed to decry plays that are flagged, and to defend those that are not. It is part of the NFL's general desire to avoid focusing on erratic officiating. That is what made the criticism of the replacement refs so unusual.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I'd like to see him fined for the intentional forearm to Freddie's head.
NoSaint Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 The forearm or knee to the back of the head to a defenseless player is a joke. Where's the $50k fine? Wouldn't be opposed to the fine but it wouldn't be 50k. The amounts are negotiated in the CBA.
KOKBILLS Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 I'd like to see him fined for the intentional forearm to Freddie's head. Exactly! IMHO that was WAY worse than the hit on Fitz...He should have been tossed for that hit on Freddie...The intent was SO obvious on that one...
todd Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 +1 for knowing the proper use of "hear hear" Hear hear. That was a ridiculously late hit, right at the head. Yes, probably hurt him more than it hurt FredEx, but he was still going right for the head. Total BS.
Salty Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Thats complete SHEEET!!!! How does the NFL miss this type of stuff, also did the Buffalo Bills management make sure to get the NFL to act on this incident. Im not a little B, but if we cant handle it like men after the game and scrap, then someones pockets got to get hurt. This also happens after Freddie just got back from a concussion??? Complete BS

Complete BS Reminder: the nfl doesn't release the fines. It may have been and it just wasn't leaked/reported on.
Direhard Fan Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 The NFL releases the fines every week. ESPN has them on there web site. Funny thou that only a few are in the paper. So if your a no body and you get kicked in the head it's not a big deal. Still get fined thou. It's all about the money honey.

If so, it's a new-ish policy, for years it was mostly leaked by players, agents, teams, heck even the nfl.... But it wasn't a press release of any sort. We'd get most, if not all, but it wouldn't be promised that nothing else was handed out.
