Also, the sign is presumably needed to protect the 'working' 'men' from cars, which are symbols of the hegemony of the wealthy and of the heedlessly carbon-spewing 1%. The making of the sign itself was probably even outsourced, and I can't say I'm at all comfortable with the image of this group of men penetrating the sign's pole into mother Gaia.
