djp14150 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Baltimore made a 4th and 29 with under 2 minutes left. It was a close call with poor angles to determine if he made enough. On top of that they moved the chains before the review was done. Thinking of a non hail mary 4th and long play that was made...they have been trying to research records for it. A few plays mentioned was an Eagles RB from about dozen years ago in the playoffs made a 4th and 26 play. Rob Johnson made threw to Perrless Price to make a 4th and 34.
Offside Number 76 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 But 4th and 8 at midfield is unthinkable, especially with a 4-6 record on the line.
Dean Cain Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I've been saying this the past 3 years Chan is a southern conservative.

Yeah and it should have been 4th and short if Chan would have handed off the stupid ball on 3rd down, knowing he had two cracks at getting the first down. Its like the guy refuses to take risks when he needs to, and yet takes unnecessary risks like the end of the Titans and NE games. We have an offensive coordinator but no head coach. That's our single biggest problem. Chan is so preoccupied with getting the play call in on time that his game strategy and big picture view is suffering.

But I'll add that Chans game and clock management is scary similar to Dicky Js. And I'll add that in the 3rd year I was willing to give Dick the benefit of doubt and stay in the bandwagon. It was the horrible 6-3 loss at home against the Browns that flipped my switch. After that I didn't last as long with Chan. I figured it all out and refused to believe after about week 4.
