ny33 Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Did anyone see if they got any defensive snaps? I heard Silva's name during the game, but wasn't particularly paying attention to the screen; it may have been a special teams play.
Doc Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Looking at the gamebook, both played, but it appears just on ST's.
Maguire's Beer Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Brooks was in on at least one play from scrimmage in the 4th.
vincec Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Brooks had at least one pass break up that I remember. And Silva crushed somebody on special teams.

I'm seeing a tackle recorded by Brooks, but no pass breakups. Gilmore had two deflections; Scott, Barnett, Rogers, and Mario had one each. I'm amazed that we shut down Luck and still lost the game. It looks like this defense has started to gel.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Silva had an awesome ST tackle--blew some guy up. Brooks seemed to do well on limited defensive snaps. Got hosed by the refs on one illegal block in the back call on ST--probably the worst call of the game.

ny33 Posted November 26, 2012 Author Posted November 26, 2012 13 points doesn't win many ball games. Yep. I thought that the offense was better than it's looked recently, but I guess that's not the case. We went from being one of the five best teams in the red zone to one of the five worst.

Chan deserves to go for not putting his two best players on the field enough. At one point, Fitz was 2/11 and yet Chan continued to throw the football. This maddness has to end.

After the big play to Stevie, the Bills continued throwing short passes which lead to nothing and having to settle for a FG. Not getting a TD after that big play was costly.

He had some key drives against us- our defense wasn't clutch- but generally speaking, yes, the defense put us in a position to win the game. The offense just failed to capitalize, however. If you hold the Colts to 20 points, you should probably win.
