Good grief you are stubborn. Anyone paying attention before today can see this situation for what it is. Let me take my best shot at how Obama, his Whitehouse and re-election campaign dealt with this. They had to cover the truth as they knew it could cost him the election. The timing of the event was horrible. Their spin on the truth was justified in their minds because it wouldn't be fair if 1 bad event at just the wrong time caused voters to make a poor short term decision to elect the other guy.

Sure! I can pretty much agree with that

By the way, the author of the "instructional" E-Mail, ( an assistant to the president and deputy national security adviser for strategic communications)

That’s Ben Rhodes, whose brother is President of CBS. Perhaps explaining their willingness to go along with the story.

Remember one of the reasons Sharyl Attkisson gave for quitting CBS News was the network's higher-ups blocking her efforts to get any Benghazi stories on the air.

CBS? They ran the fake story that had the POS liar who said he was there and he wasn't. Good call!

A report from Judicial Watch today strongly suggests there was an effort by White House staff to insulate President Obama from criticism and push the narrative an anti-Islam video was responsible for the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attacks.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton invoked the video at a transfer ceremony of the Benghazi victims after other administration officials were already aware the video played no role in the attack.

Krauthammer told the Special Report panel:

“I find the most scandalous element of this from purely just a human point of view, is the fact that the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, with the bodies of the dead lying in front of her and with the families there, brought up the video and said a video with which we had nothing to do, and then according to one of the family members, when she went over to console that family member, she said ‘We’re going to get the guy who did the video.’ Now, that to me, if she knew that this was a phony story and I’m not sure I can understand how it would be otherwise, is a form of deception that I think is truly scandalous.”

Obama’s ‘Blame the Video’ Fraud Started in Cairo, Not Benghazi

by Andrew McCarthy

Original Article

Here Here is the main point: The rioting at the American embassy in Cairo was not about the anti-Muslim video. As argued here repeatedly (see here and here), the Obama administration’s “Blame the Video” story was a fraudulent explanation for the September 11, 2012, rioting in Cairo every bit as much as it was a fraudulent explanation for the massacre in Benghazi several hours later.

Not defending the guy but is there anyone in the country with a tougher job than Jay Carney? Frankly I don't know how he sleeps at night.

He sleeps fine. You don't lie so blatantly in the face of such obvious evidence without knowing what you're doing. If times get tough, he just thinks about all the cash he's going to make when he's done and it's like taking Ambien for a guy like that.

I think that every time I see any press secretary holding their daily briefing, but yeah, Carney's probably got it worse than most others in recent memory.

I caught a video of Dana Perino talking about how surprised she has been at Carney's lack of preparation, especially on something that literally had his name attached. She had a similar situation when she was press secretary regarding an email she was on, and she doesn't understand how little Carney either knows or cares about this.

Disclaimer...I'm biased toward Dana Perino because she is my kinda sexy.

That goes without saying. Repbulican woman have the sexy market cornered. Democrat? Not so much.

It's tough to feel sorry for him with attempts of spin that essentially come down to this

The Benghazi email we gave in response to an inquiry about Benghazi emails wasn't about Benghazi you idiots..............sure Jay.

No wonder the usual compliant press was annoyed.

or this little beauty................."Our focus on Benghazi is bringing attackers to justice"

Meanwhile, retired military officials testified this morning at the House Oversight and Government Reform hearing on Benghazi.

General Lovell just testified that the ARB...the Review Board on Benghazi NEVER interviewed him.

General Lovell "It's not what the State Department did, it's what they didn't do."

He admits there was little the military could have done to save lives there

We all know how happy you were that the WH and State Dept. left four Americans to die and then lied about what happened, but to clear you up on your comment above, here's what the general actually said:

“The discussion is not could or could not of time, space and capability. The point is we should have tried.”

Maybe so but that's hindsight. Once they heard of the attack did they know how long it would last? No. Did they make an effort to save our people, no. In fact they did the opposite. Even after the bad decision or non-decision to send help, they could have owned up to that in their explanation of the events. Simply state that they weighed their options, didn't like them and had to unfortunately abandon our people. Instead they came up with a lie and everyone from Rice, Obama, to Hillary and Carney used that lie. All of them on multiple occasions have stood in front of the camera and lied. That lie (the video) was parroted by nearly every Dem who spoke on the matter. That lie is still being defended.
