Black ICE Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 8,076 Foot Burrito Built at Nevada Fair These type of world records are a complete waste of resources. 8,200 four tortillas, 2,000 pounds of refried beans and 1,000 pounds each of sour cream, cheese and salsa were all basically thrown away in attempt to make world record. Sorry but I was looking for an article for SUW and this waste of food when there are people hungry just irritated me.
ExiledInIllinois Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 Gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins. It disturbs me also... Same as the competitive eating contests.
Webster Guy Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 People will do some crazy things to break a Guiness World Record. Sounds like a lot of people had fun building a burrito over a mile and a half long. I hear you that food and food distribution is a problem in many places, but I don't think that building a really long burrito added to those problems.
