I'm all for the tailgate, it's part of what sustains us as Bills fans. But I'm utterly disgusted and embarrassed at the condition of these lots come game time. I typically walk through 5a on way in from my spot along southwestern and California and its is like these losers are tailgating in a landfill. There is literally garbage everywhere. Not a few bottles and trash close to people's cars or tailgate areas but literally strewn across the entire aisle.

I guess breaking glass and smashing all you stuff and then wallowing in it like swine for 3 hours is fun but these people, probably mainly college kids obviously think its cool. I think it's a disgrace and I'm as much for a good time and mischief as the next guy but these jokers have taken it to a new low. Game after game. This is the type of stuff that gives the city and people a blackeye when out of towners visit.

Time for security and the sheriffs to start writing citations for littering. It's I'd public property after all and we'd never see that in a park.

Maybe in my late 30s when Im as economically viable as I've ever been and should be a target demographic for this team to focus on, this stadium experience is passing me by. Lots of friends And coworkers that are older stopped going around my age, complaining about the morons. But I don't think it's me getting older as much as it is a complete lack of respect, both for other people and themselves, that these young college age morons bring to the game.

I do hear where your coming from. Last night we did not go into the game until about 8:30 because we still had some of the keg left & I looked down our aisle(we tailgate in Lot 5) & it looked like a warzone. I mean what is so hard about bringing a couple garbage bags to the tailgate & cleaning up after yourself? That is what we do.

Ever since I got season tickets the atmosphere is 100% better than getting cheap seats wherever I could find them. You sit with (mostly) the same people every game and you bond. Most of those "I'm gonna get as drunk as possible" people or the "I'm gonna start a fight with a fan of the other team" people are not near us at all. And being in the lower bowl I love my seats. I'm not behind glass, the people around me care about the game We respect each other and don't put up with any of that extra-curricular BS.

I feel the same way. I have season tickets for quite a while and have been taking my wife and/or kids for many years. I have been reluctant to re-locate from where I am in the lower bowl because they few issues arise in that spot. Perhaps a beer was spilled here or there, some swearing, but for the most part everything has been fine. I enjoy going to the games and so do my wife and kids. I do not park in the public lots so I cannot comment so much on the trash but I walk through the lots to meet people and check out the RV lot but I realize this is a public stadium like at a concert and I expect trash to be around so I do not really notice so much. We always stay or venture over to Hammer's lot and enjoy the Pinto extravaganza and have a great time there. Too bad others have had so many bad experiences but I would always like to be at a game rather than watch on TV from 500 miles away (where I live).

You are obviously a horrible parent taking your kids to a Bills game! LOL.

As you know, my kids love going to the games, and I love taking them...we have a great time, and at the KC game we sat in the upper deck

A Bills game is no place for kids. In other news, water is wet.

SCREW THIS AND SCREW YOU. Its !@#$s like you who think only drunken douchbags should be allowed at the game that have ruined the entire experience and make me personally no longer care whether the team stays or goes.

My dad used to take me to games when I was a kid. I will NEVER take my son to a game. An experience both of us miss out on because douchtools like you think that your right to drink until you puke, piss on people and swear up a storm supersedes my right to enjoy the game.

I will add one more thing. I have been going to games for 20 years now & last night my friends & I almost got in a fight for the first time ever. We had a keg & as people were walking by us some asked us if they could have a beer. As any good Bills fan would do we said sure. This went on about the last hour of the tailgate. There was a group of about 5 guys that came by about 7:30. We had no idea who they were but they were Bills fans & they asked if they have a couple beers from the keg. So we got them glasses & there was some left over steak & lobster tails so we said help yourself guys. It was my friends 40th birthday so we got him a cake & we brought it out soon after those guys showed up. Well around 8:15 we see 4 of the guys take off abruptly(no thanks or even a goodby) & the 5th guy takes the cake & smashes it over my friend's windshield(the one who's birthday it was). We surrounded the guy who did it(his buddys were long gone) & my brother in law was about ready to pund the sh*t out of him. I had to talk him out of it saying it is not worth it. The guy said his friends gave him $50 to do it. I know they were young & stupid(they were all in their 20s) but why would they do that. We welcome them into our tailgate, feed them beers, give them left over lobster tails for christ sakes that cost $20 a pound, did not ask them for a dime. I was pretty hot. The guy who did it to his credit gave my friend $20 to get his car detailed today. Other then that I had a great time last night. It is a little rough out there but I saw 15 of my friends that most of them I have not seen in months, so I guess you take the good with the bad.

Wow looks like I've offended some hippie Phish fans by comparing the gameday experience to a Phish show. Sorry dudes, didn't mean to hate on your chill scene.

Not sure you offended anyone as much as we were using it to show just how bad the Bills games have become. When a drug-filled crowd of dirty hippies is better behaved and cleaner than your group, it's time to re-assess.

I'm always amazed when people think it's a "local" issue.

This behavior takes place in every Football Stadium parking lot in the country. It's not just the NFL either... this isn't a Buffalo issue, it's a human issue.

Carry on.

You are dead wrong my friend. This is exactly why I am always quick to point out that yes, the Bills have great fans- mostly the Canadians- but they are not the best. Because of the price of tickets, the younger crowd at Bills games is really, really offensive. Has been ever since I've been going to games in the 80's as a little kid. Go to a game in Seattle, Kansas City, Green Bay, etc. Fans are friendly, welcoming, mature and you DO NOT have that element that you get at Bills and Raiders games. Carry on.

Yea definitely! Only drunken douchebags allowed at the game! I love to puke and piss on people! All I care about is myself and I hate your kids!

If anything you should blame the product on the field for the reason my generation acts the way they do. I haven't seen a Bills playoff game since I was in 3rd grade and I'm a senior in college now. I love this team as much as anyone on this board, but I can understand why my generation doesn't. They go for the good time rather than the game. Much similar to a Dave Matthews Band concert than Phish by the way.

Right - charge another $20 for the cake and $10 as a penalty for being an idiot db.

im not quite sure how this was in response to me saying "I wont let others ruin my fun...I go to watch the best sport known to mankind".....ive seen such behavior...I just dont let it ruin my fun, it just gives me a story to tell around the water cooler....I still would have enjoyed the hell outta the game

as someone who frequents Phish shows and tailgates.....Phish tailgate is veryyyyyyyy TAME compared to a bills game

This is great! I didn't realize there were so many people on here who were into phish too. And I love the responses from people who actually do go to shows and don't just base their knowledge of phish off of some stereotype. There's not drunken buffoons at phish shows swearing at you and threatening to fight you if you're wearing another band's t-shirt. And people at phish shows know a lot about phish. As opposed to the younger crowd at Bills games who don't know anything about the Bills and are just there to get bombed and cause trouble.

Well said. How can you be expected to take responsibility for your actions when you haven't seen a playoff game since the 3rd grade? The Bills owe you either a contender or a license to behave in any manner you choose. Thats a binding social contract and the backbone of this great nation. Reward me or I will behave in a petulant and destructive manner! Lets get on twitter and organize a spontaneous riot. I need new Nikes.

Wrong. This same stuff happened all the time in the late 80s early 90s when the bills were winning. Back then there were 75000-80,000 at every game.

It is an NFL problem not just a Buffalo problem but it is exacerbated by the low ticket prices and relatively less number of corporate seats. The only solution is to cut the number of seats back by 5-10K and double the ticket prices. The 18-24 year old crowd won't be able to afford the tickets. The only way I go to a game with my boys aged 9 and 10 is to buy club level seats.

It was definately an isolated incident & certainly did not ruin our good time. The crowd at the Bills games are young & last night it did seem like it was especially young. I did stupid things too when I was in my 20's. The guy apologized & gave my friend some money to get the car detailed. No harm no foul I guess. My brother in law was pretty close to knocking his block off though. Glad he didn't. All in all good time last night.
