Storm Front Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 God, it felt good to see the Bills win a game. The city of Buffalo looked great under the lights. We can all sit back as spectators this weekend and watch the rest of the teams battle it out knowing that our Bills won. Thank you Fitz. Thank you CJ. Thank you Stevie. Thank you Mario. Thank you Byrd. Thank you Meatball. Thank you Powell. Thank you Chan. Thank you Wannastache (gulp). Thank you Bills!

At the Dolphins 1-yard line with the game on the line. 1st down - 1 yard rush 2nd down - 7 yard rush 3rd down - 17 yard catch and run. Unbelievable! Couldn't stop them when it counted. Finally, the Dolphins QB makes rookie mistakes in throwing the ball.

Statistically, our D was WAY better than they've been. And you could see them playing with heart all night long. They started to slip at the end, but we made the plays we needed to. Think about the other times our D has screwed up easier INTs than those ones tonight. Wilson in the Tennessee game, Scott and McKelvin on Sunday. The D played well tonight.

Total passing was under 150, no receiver had over 50 yards, defense gave up 7 points all game, and Reggie Bush was held to 20 yards on 10 carries. We had two picks and three sacks and got the win on a homefield, primetime divisional game when our offense was lukewarm. And you say we played poorly? If you take our numbers tonite and multiply them by 16 games we crush the NFL leaders in turnovers, points allowed and total defense. Get real.

So many penalties that kept the Dolphins drives alive giving them 1st downs by encroachment on a 3rd and 4....(I think we had something like 10 penalties). The Dolphins played conservatively in the 1st half, but adjusted well in the 2nd half and played much better than the Bills. Byrd made an unbelievable pick. Otherwise, that would have been a long gain. I agree that the D played well in the 1st half, but was a no show in the 2nd half until a great play by Byrd and a stupid throw by the Miami rookie QB (on the last drive). I think it is you who needs to get real.

Might need to sleep this one off ...the defense crushed tonite you couldn't be farther off base IMO.

He dove and caught the ball after it cleared the receiver's hands. Sleep this one off and come back fresh in a few days. We'll wait.

In the fist half the Dolphins were 0-for-5 on third down, ZERO offensive points, and 2 count them, 2 first downs!!! Penalties gave the FISH half of their 1st downs later in the game! Fixxxer Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 This game should have been over by the end of the second quarter. The Dolphins offense didn't step a foot in Bills' territory until the 4th quarter. You can settle for FGs once a game not four times.
Captain Hindsight Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 This win only hurts the franchise!
WickedGame Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Yep, agree with other posters: D was solid all night. Slipped toward the end, and too many penalties, but a strong performance and made plays at the end of the game to seal the win.
billsfaninky Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I have been surfing these boards for years and finally decided to create an account. I have been a Bills fan since 1985 and have been through the high and lows. Born and raised in Buffalo I bleed the red, white, and blue and even after I moved away 11 years ago, I still carry that passion wherever I go. I can remember being at the home opener in 2000 Sunday Night vs. Tennessee after the debacle of the playoff game. Watching the game last night made me so proud of not only the Bills but being from Buffalo, and missing the energy and passion the fans bring to primetime games in Buffalo. Working as an educator I have several young Bills fans who never have seen the Bills in the playoffs or have a winning season. Hopefully those studenst after last night can see the excitement and passion we as Bills fans have and a glimpse as to what it was like back in the Super Bowl years!!!! I am proudly wearing my Bills sweatshirt today at work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. GO BILLS!!!!!!
Just in Atlanta Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 (edited) That defense really fit it up. More please. (Who's Meatball? K. Williams?) Could be the most fun game I've ever watched with no offensive TDs. Edited November 16, 2012 by Just in Atlanta
