I don't tip for carry-out and am not sure what "curbside" is. But like you, I'm curious if others tip for carry-out. :P

a) you're basically doing all the work. I think a buck or two is more than enough.

 

b) definitly a couple bucks, unless your bill was higher... I'd say 10% is good.

Outback is an example of "curbside" service. They bring your carryout to your vehicle instead of going into the bar area (usually) to pick up your food. It's all the rage with chain restaurants.

I haven't heard of that. It's probably worth a couple of bucks, but no where near what you'd tip a waiter for serving you during the whole meal.

 

No, I don't tip pick up food. I might toss my change in the tip jar if she's cute, but that's about it.

I tip for both, but only $2. When we go eat out, I usually leave atleast $5, unless we go to Ryans Steakhouse where they know my wife and I by name, I usually leave a little more.
