While I appreciate a good sales job, I don't think it's on that sort of historical level yet. We'll see though of course, but it's a good topic to watch. What's going to hurt California the most is when they lose the billion dollar porn industry for making the performers use condoms. They'll happily pick up stakes and go to Nevada. If we lose the porn industry, all is lost.

IDBillzFan
California is either destined for a huge resurgence, paving the way for the new dawn of a modern liberal Enlightenment, or they will implode. I'll go with implode. Companies are leaving the state in droves. Rick Perry is handing out tax breaks and one-way airplane tickets like candy. Dante
Since Cali is the poster child for rampant liberalism, will Obama and company allow the state to go totally breasts up? Will there be Fed money bailouts for the state? I'll go with implode. Companies are leaving the state in droves. Rick Perry is handing out tax breaks and one-way airplane tickets like candy. Our little company's biggest customer(accounting for over half our sales) is here in the Bay area, so unless they decide to pull up stakes, we are pretty much stuck I suppose. Chef Jim
I can't wait to retire. The wife and I were just talking about this this weekend. We'll probably still have a place here in CA to visit but our primary residence will NEVER be here.

My partner and I just had discussions this morning about moving the company to Nevada this coming year. I really do not want to do it because despite some progressive blindness, we love our cul-de-sac living and safety and options and neighbors and friends and school...but a little company like ours is getting raped in taxes and it's simply not worth it. How are you any different than Mitt and Bain sending jobs to another state. I hope the great communist state write a law that says you may not transact business in California if you are one of those moving jobs and taking away job opportunities from the takers. Not that they want to actually work, but the lost revenue from taxes should prevent you from doing business there in the future.

B-Man
San Bernardino: Poster Child for Blue Model Decline. “Even among California cities that have declared bankruptcy, San Bernardino stands out as extraordinary in its own right: Its city officials had been lying about the city’s fiscal condition for nearly 20 years.” . That's what sucks. I've lived here for 30 years and I love it but they've just !@#$ed it up so bad. I moved out of downtown SF 4 months ago but was back there today for a career fair. When you live there and see it every day just brush it off. But being gone for a few months and going back.......holy ****, what a !@#$ing lawless zoo!
