UConn James Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Now it's on to find the highest octane fuel producers!
DC Tom Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Fact is, it IS a piss-poor excuse for science. It's a net consumer of energy - the generator must produces less electricity (substantially less, given the described cycle of purification - it would be more efficient to eliminate the filters and use distilled water) than is used in the electrolysis. If it worked, it would be a perpetual motion machine. The second law of thermodynamics always wins in the end.
ExiledInIllinois Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Didn't somebody invent a carb for an engine that runs on water?... Takes the H out and runs on that? That was in the 1930's... Actually, I think by the person who also earlier invented the traffic light (Oregon or Texas I think) or something??... Going of memory here... The problem is (hyrdogen) embrittlement and the effect on the metal engine parts. Again... I am going off memory here... Here is the link: http://www.keelynet.com/energy/garrett.htm Your thoughts DC... I hear what you said earlier... This bogus?
