paupmvp1995
Based on where this team appears to be headed, I would get behind drafting a guy like Manti Teo in the first round all day. Fitzpatrick isn't the problem. Anyone who knows anything about the NFL knows that if your offense is scoring 31 points that you should win most of those games. Once again, they lost the turnover battle. They were -3 in that department. Notwithstanding everything else, a team that's +3 in turnovers will win the ballgame about 95% of the time based on history. Why is CJ Spiller not getting the ball more? The guy is electric on the field and averaging 7.3 YPC and yet they stubbornly split with Freddy every game. It's manic bad logic from the coaching staff. The linebackers are a huge weakness on this team. They can't cover and can't fill the gaps to stop the run. That's why this offense runs out of gas at the end of games. Stop someone! So true about our LB's. They are supposed to be the heart and soul of your defense, if not your whole team. Ours are incredibly bad. It is almost shocking that we went into a season with this group of LB's. None are starting material. And possibly not even backup material on a lot of teams. They are costing us bigtime. As a GM Buddy needs to take some accountability for this, as does Chan. How can you start Barnett, Sheppard, Bradham, Scott, Moats? You could see this in the preseason. And it has carried over to the regular season. We seriously need at least two if not three new starters at LB next year. This is so typical of our organization going w the guys we have at such a crucial position. Seriously, every starter does not have to be a pro bowler. But come on, can't they at least play guys with NFL talent at every position?
Kevin
After thinking about it it looks to me like the scenario is gonna be one where the Bills are either going to make a significant push for their franchise QB this year in a similar trade that the Redskins made last year. Or possibly pass up on the top QB's in this years draft and "reach" for a QB late round 1 or 2. I don't like Buddy calling his shot the way he did. Just do it. Alaska Darin
Even tho we need a QB to develop we need D more. Our LB's have to be the worst in the league right now. So the question is D in the first round again??. Say what you want about Fitz, dude put points on the board. If we can play better Defense we have more chances to score. I dont think there a QB like Luck in nexts yrs draft. So do we take the best MLB on the board? what yall think? Fitz is just good enough to get you beat. Sisyphean Bills
Fitz is just good enough to get you beat. Which is good enough if your end-game goal is lose often and lose respectably much of the time.
BillsVet
We have gone "defense heavy" three drafts in a row, not to mention signing some big name defensive free agents, and look where it has gotten us. Not only have we used most of our premium picks on defense, the FO neglected to draft a QB prospect when the opportunity was there in round 3 last year, meaning that we are now in a position to have to reach for a QB in round 1 or 2. It's a mess. We can talk all day about what positions the Bills should target this year, but the real problem is the people who are making the selections. Unless that changes, the losing will continue. If Nix cannot fix the defense and appears to have missed on multiple defensive picks, what then gives any fan some semblance of confidence he'll get the QB right with a high pick? Trader
Not a Barkley or Geno Smith fan. Landry Jones might be ok. I do like Colin Klein. Actually I would favor a trade for Kirk Cousins the most. I know there are some others but I have not seen any of their college games.
Dennis in NC
WR least of our worries. Nelson will be back next yr also. We Defense BADLY I want a QB in round 1. All good ones will be gone by the 2nd round. Take LBs in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds!!!

The guy ain't the talent evaluator a lot of homers made him out to be Drafted well enough to fill the 3-4 that they only played for a couple months before going hybrid and scrapping the entire project in 2 years to field a historically bad defense. The revamped personnel department kicking ass and taking names, perhaps?
