BringBackFergy Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 This Freshman is exciting. Nice arm, thinks quick, mobile. Should be fun to watch him the next few years. Quote
Kevin Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 I was just going to start a post about him. Freshman huh? Damn. Kid looks damn good. Quick, agile, awareness off the charts and has a good strong arm. Quote
Maury Ballstein Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Lookin pretty good. Up 20-7 on Bama w 8 straight completions Quote
Solomon Grundy Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Manziel's game reminds me of Brett Favre. Quote
KollegeStudnet Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 (edited) Sadly, he will be drafted in the future to become Brady's replacement--which equals, another decade of 2-20 record vs. the Patriots! Edited November 10, 2012 by KollegeStudnet Quote
RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Great game so far, but going for it on 4th down will haunt A and M.... alas. Quote
zevo Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 How tall is he....he looks tiny out there Quote
BringBackFergy Posted November 10, 2012 Author Posted November 10, 2012 This is where the rubber meets the road. Third quarter, up by 3 against Alabama...let's see if he has what it takes to keep it up and not get comfortable with a lead. Quote
Maury Ballstein Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 21-22 completions v Bama. Wow Quote
ACor58 Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 (edited) An I the only one that thinks he looks like Flutie? (and that's not a knock) Edited November 10, 2012 by ACor58 Quote
NoSaint Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 An I the only one that thinks he looks like Flutie? (and that's not a knock) It is if he has pro aspirations. Quote
ACor58 Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 (edited) It is if he has pro aspirations. Maybe a few years ago - but the game has changed so much that a guy like Flutie might get picked before a stand in the pocket statue type passer (depending on the team of course) these days. At 6-1 it won't be such an issue. Flutie would still have a hard go in today's game. Manziel was the one arrested for a fight then giving the cop a fake ID a couple months back, right? Doc Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Sadly, he will be drafted in the future to become Brady's replacement--which equals, another decade of 2-20 record vs. the Patriots! Not unless they draft in the top 3 in whatever draft Manziel is in. They got lucky with a throwaway 6th round pick and haven't drafted a QB worth anything since. Quote
Bronc24 Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 When you suck so bad at the QB position, every college QB looks great. Quote
Maury Ballstein Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 You think fitz could lead tex a and m to victory vs Bama ? Would be a fun experiment. Manziel just rocked the house. Quote
Bronc24 Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 I don't think Fitz could lead my HS team to victory. Quote
BringBackFergy Posted November 11, 2012 Author Posted November 11, 2012 4 minutes left. Looks like Bama will go up. But I see Manziel as a gamer. Kid has ridiculous game...and damn accurate. Love it. Awesome pick. Quote
