BuffaloWest Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 True that-Fireman Ed is a tool! Bills fans are cool everywhere Ive ever been.
McBeane Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 That was a fantastic, albeit long, read. Thanks for sharing!
\GoBillsInDallas/ Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 My goodness it was long, but it was riveting. My wife told me the same thing last night!
TheBrownBear Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 That was a great article. Thanks for passing it along.
Haven Moses Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I can't believe they didnt mention The Philster.
May Day 10 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 excellent article. Really captured a lot of the region and the Bills. A+++
Dorkington Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Good article. Though I can't help but also be depressed about it.
todzilla Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 My wife told me the same thing last night! Now that's funny! Glad to see some other Grantland fans, It's a must read every day for me. Love Barnwell, the best football writer going IMO. The pop culture stuff is really good too. Mostly top notch writers...Barnwell, Gladwell, Klosterman, Simmons, all very good.
Andrew in CA Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I thought the article was excellent. I like that no players were interviewed--the city and the fans are the subject.
5 Wide Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 My wife told me the same thing last night! If we're going by that criteria then I found the article not in the mood and it should just go to sleep
l< j Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 My wife told me the same thing last night! You've opened yourself up for it there
San Jose Bills Fan Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Didn't plan on getting so damn emotional from reading an article. My heart bleeds for the old hometown and our football team.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Here's a link to the trailer to the film, "Almost a Dynasty." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOCyE_g5Cpk
dubs Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Every time I read an article like this it just reminds me of how much I'd love to move home. I'm sure a lot of people on this board are in a similar situation. Went to college and moved away for career opportunities elsewhere. When you're younger, it's an exciting and fun adventure. You feel you're doing the right thing, etc... But as I get older I really question whether or not it it's worth it. I still don't know what the answer it but wrestle with it frequently. I sincerely hope that the renaissance people speak of really takes hold and gives some of Buffalos Prodigal Sons an easier decision to move back home and make Buffalo a permanent home again. Wait...this is a football board, sorry for the sappy post!!
dave mcbride Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 (edited) Grantland is the best sports thing going on the web. By far. Edited November 8, 2012 by dave mcbride
