USABuffaloFan Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Jauron/Levy had two 7-9 seasons and was in the middle of a 3rd when he got replaced by Fewell. Since then Gailey/Nix has led us to 4-12 then 6-10 and what looks no better than 7-9 this season. So we fire one coach/GM and three years later MIGHT get back to where we were. We paid Jauron the past three years with Gailey and now we want to do this again with Gailey! Nix finally gets he needs to draft a Franchise QB three years later. REALLY!!!! Make this real simple, at the end of the season Ralph Wilson needs to fire all admin and coaching staff, Overdorf, Brandon, Nix and Gailey, everyone who makes decsions. Next offer Bill Polian President and Chris Polian GM. Let them do what they do, don't forget they built us, Carolina's and then the Colts. All were a real mess or just starting. Bill loves Buffalo and Ralph needs to step back completely like he did with Donahue but trust a true and blue football man.
KD in CA Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I don't give a hoot about records. Jauron was the most infuriatingly terrible coach ever.

bouds Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 They're both terrible, no use in debating who is worse, just a waste a time, much like Sunday's.
fridge Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 In all fairness the main reason I'm upset is because I had high expectations on defense. There is no question Gailey's teams have been more entertaining than anything Jauron ever did.
bouds Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Maybe if we combine Jauron and Gailey we could get to .500
Since 1972 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I don't give a hoot about records. Jauron was the most infuriatingly terrible coach ever. Neither do the Bills.
Gray Beard Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Jauron had Perry Fewell as DC and the amazing combination of Turk Schonert and Alex Van Pelt as OCs. I think they did better because Jauron and Fewell were able to come up with good defenses, and the offense was simple and straightforward.
BillsVet Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) Jauron was 7-9 in 06, 07, and 08. He was fired in 09 after going 3-6, which put him at 24-33 in about 3.5 seasons, or winning 42% of his games. Gailey is 13-27 while accepting as big a rebuild and would need to go 11-6 in his next 17 games to equal DJ. Barring a miracle, Gailey will be back. Edited November 7, 2012 by BillsVet
Best Player Available Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Who's better? They both suck bigtime.
thewildrabbit Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) Jauron was hired in 2006 after Mularkey went 5-11 in 2005. Then Jauron went 7-9 in 06, 7-9 in 07, 7-9 in 08, 6-10 in 09 with Fewell (3-6) Jauron (3-4) Fewell Jauron took over and the team got better to a mediocre 7-9 for 3 years in a row with AVP & Turk Schonert as OC's. Trent Edwards, JP Losman at QB. Gailey came in and went 4-12, the team got worse. To 6-10 last year, and still hasn't matched Jauron's 7-9. As moronic as Jauron was about the offense, Chan Gailey is sub moronic about the defense! Gailey manages to get the offense to a mediocre level and the defense to an historically horrid level. Jauron Hands down was better. His problem is he had fans at 7-9 for 3 years and had everyone thinking they would turn the corner at any moment. When they didn't turn the corner everyone hated him for it. Jauron 24-33, 421% Gailey 13-26 .342% Edited November 7, 2012 by Fear the Beard
BuffaloBill Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 They're both terrible, no use in debating who is worse, just a waste a time, much like Sunday's. Sadly I would have to say that Jauron would do better with this roster. That said they both suck. Fewell may have been the hidden diamond. Bring him back as HC and let Gailey be OC.
benderbender Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Bring back Jauron so we can punt on 4th and inches in the 4th quarter when were losing
KD in CA Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Bring back Jauron so we can punt on 4th and inches in the 4th quarter when were losing This. Gailey may not game plan or use his players well, but Jauron's in-game decisions; play calling, clock management, etc. was the stuff of nightmares.
BEAST MODE BABY! Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 If you look at the record, Jauron is better. If you actually use your eyes and brain, Gailey is better by a wide margin.
BuffaloBill Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 This. Gailey may not game plan or use his players well, but Jauron's in-game decisions; play calling, clock management, etc. was the stuff of nightmares. Only Bills fans would have to debate which head coach sucks more...
KD in CA Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Only Bills fans would have to debate which head coach sucks more... We gotta have something to talk about.
BuffaloBill Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 We gotta have something to talk about. True ... Besides who we will waste a top draft choice on ...
reddogblitz Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 If you look at the record, Jauron is better. If you actually use your eyes and brain, Gailey is better by a wide margin. What does this mean? You are what your record says you are. Dick's record was better so he's a better coach. Not rocket science. Just win baby. There are no style points in football.
