sodbuster Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I was just thinking about this earlier this morning. Big target, decent hands... I bet Fitz misses him more than we do.
T master Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 YA He is definitely missed ! Great team guy !! But if you put Graham in the slot & I say Easley on the outside he might be less missed than he is in the passing game between the 20's . Now when it comes to the end zone a totally different story !! Get well D Nell !!
BringBackFergy Posted November 1, 2012 Author Posted November 1, 2012 No doubt about that...Nelson was a favorite target. Stevie, Scott Chandler and Nelson won those games last year against the Raiders and the Pats in the early going. He is a clutch receiver. I hate to have to say "Boy, we'll be great next year when Nelson comes back" because I wanted him to flourish THIS YEAR...call me shallow or selfish but his injury was super untimely for this team. Granted, offense really isn't our main problem these days...but Nelson did qualify as a well respected possession receiver over the middle.
Ramblin' Rob Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Agreed and love the love for Nelson! Best hands on the team for three strait seasons, and why I defended our receivers in the summer of 2011. Sure we had a need for speed, but Stevie and he were a solid 1-2 punch and at that point there was still hope for Easly to provide some speed.
RuntheDamnBall Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 The whole team misses him. But, Fitz has to hit the receivers that are (often wide) open. The opportunities are there, and they are either being left on the table, or thrown 7 yards past it.
QB Bills Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I was expecting a reference to Talley or Bruce.
sodbuster Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 (edited) I was expecting a reference to Talley or Bruce. It just hit me like a ton of bricks. It is sad when fans miss a udfa who has only played 2 years. Not that the guy isn't good and hasn't shown a ton of talent and heart. I'm a huge fan from the Gator days. BiggieScooby Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I was reading some of his posts on "the twitter". Dude is underated and had put together 2 good seasons. He's a tall Josh Reed, dependable, good hands, good blocker, good teammate.
FreddyFlintstone Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 (edited) I was expecting a reference to Talley or Bruce. I thought for sure it was going to be a Wade Phillips reference Who BTW I really miss....if we only knew then what we know now Edited November 1, 2012 by FreddyFlintstone

sodbuster Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 After reading Tebows book (flame me) I realized how much Nelson had to do with the Nat Championship team. The guy is a leader and a hard worker.
RuntheDamnBall Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Tebow wrote a book (well, I'm sure he didn't "write" it)? Jesus.
sodbuster Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Tebow wrote a book (well, I'm sure he didn't "write" it)? Jesus. It's called "through my eyes." And yes, Jesus was in there.
RuntheDamnBall Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Boy, I wonder what amazing twists and turns the Tim Tebow story must have that haven't been told on television about 300,000 times. I should run to my local library.

I think he converts many of those to first downs.
Captain Hindsight Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 One of the nicest people Ive ever met too. I was very sad when we lost him. Can't wait to see him back next year. Get Well David!
