Joe W
Sellout is not necessary for a game to be televised. That's great news -you'l be able to see all the December games this year !
Delete This Account
Well aware that they played Raiders twice, the second was played in in -15 wind chill, it was televised ergo all tickets were sold. 1999 season finale was played in year 2000, also televised - it was Rob Johnson's big game. Your confusing turnstile atendance with tickets sold. Beacon of clarity - JW what the? you're confusing what you pretend in having a point with reality. whether or not the game was televised has nothing to do with this discussion and you're wrong assertion that Russ Brandon is fudging when saying the Bills had difficulty selling games out in December in the 1990s. take a look at the numbers, listed either in the Bills media guide or on the NFL website. and you're wrong when suggesting its tickets sold vs. turnstiles. you might recall a certain season finale against the Colts, played in horrendous conditions to close the 2009 season. there were about 25,000 fans in the stadium for that game. and yet the attendance is listed as 69,848. you have no case. you're full of baloney. jw

You are well aware that there is a blackout policy, a game has to be sold out to be televised - both games were televised ask your buddy Ross thus they sold out. Brandon implies there was the same level of difficulty selling games out in the nineties not true and as I've shown much more ticket inventory fort he season back the. the 2009 actually was sold out thus it was televised - TO's last game, large season ticket base (55k). if you think the NFL allowed the Bills to televise the 94 playoff game with 61k sold you're plain wrong. Well Bud then go back and see if Wilson did that, he certainly didn't do it for the Oilers playoff game, and you'll find he didn't do that for the two games in question. That's all. Beacon of Clarity quit obfuscating. the point i made was questioning your assertion that Russ Brandon was wrong in regards to the team having difficulty selling out December games in the 1990s. i provided plenty of details explaining how you were wrong. you then came back and said it was something to do with turnstiles vs. tickets sold. i then presented a point in which indicated you were wrong yet again. you came back and agreed with me, and then somehow said i was wrong. i thus, rest my case, and thus dub the: Purveyor of Baloney. jw

Here is one fact that I think everyone will agree on: Brandon is a tool and don't believe the farts out of his mouth. He, Wilson and Littman are the constants in this 13 years of incompetency. Both negotiations are nearly to the FUBAR point and this franchise is "the most troubled in the NFL" - Forbes characterization not mine. And with that, GOOD NIGHT NOW ! CFLstyle
Hmmmm, I've been many of those stadiums too and as White said it's not like first impression is that Rich stadium has appreciably better sight-lines. If this is the only thing that Brandon can hang his hat on to describe this as the "fenway" of the NFL he's in big trouble. The guy is a tool, if the sight lines are so incredibly great he should have no trouble selling tickets. I think not being able to sell tickets in December is indicative of the weather, and the team having fallen out of the race by mid-November -- not the sight lines. Buffalo Barbarian
The Niagara Falls Reporter is reporting a lease deal is imminent....announcement in 7-10 days....8-10 year deal... http://www.niagarafa...alImminent.html seems like a waste to invest in the "crumbling" Bills Stadium, they should just build a new one. Just because there is a lease agreement with the stadium doesn't mean the Bill have to stay there. However the new stadium that has been proposed would ensure that any new owners want leave. Also being multi-purpose allows it to be more viable than 7 use per year venue.

With every post you make you get more and more incoherent. "Both negotiations are nearly to the FUBAR point…"? What the hell does that mean? I'm not an English major but I can tell a screwed up sentence when I see one, and that sentence is definitely FUBAR (see what I did there?). "GOOD NIGHT NOW !" When did this turn into the Jim Rome show? Do you expect to get racked? I don't think Rome would characterize that as "rack" worthy. In fact, I'm pretty sure he would have buzzed your ASS when you started pimping yourself as the "Beacon of Clarity". Stop spewing your abusive vitriol towards Russ Brandon. "Farts from his mouth"?
