eball
I realize the Heels are under probation this year and ineligible for any postseason games, but the efforts of sophomore RB Gio Bernard should not be ignored. He missed two games due to injury (both Ls), but here are his stats through nine team games: Rushing: 126/930 (7.4 avg), 10 TDs Receiving: 32/319 (10.0 avg), 3 TDs Punt Returns: 12/249 (20.8 avg), 2 TDs This includes a remarkable 4th quarter over the weekend in which he returned a punt 73 yards for the game-winning TD against NC State with 0:13 on the clock. Gio leads all FBS (Div. I-A) players in scoring, is 3rd nationally in rushing (1st ACC), and leads the nation in punt return average. Aren't these numbers Heisman-talk worthy? P.S. Did anybody catch these new helmets? Edited October 29, 2012 by eball
