Wannstadt's defensive scheme would have totally shut down that team.

Or at least in 1968 it would have had a chance to be competitive.

I too was at that game!

My Dad would take me to the Holiday Inn the Jets, and other teams, stayed for autographs and I remember a few team mates of Broadway Joe mentioning that Namath had been out all night and was nursing a pretty epic hangover.

Explains the 5 INT's :P

That was the same season as the HEIDI GAME.

Hard to believe that there were not that many "color" TV's then. A "big screen" was 21". If you wanted to see the game in color you either had to go to the game, or go to a bar that had the TV.

Maybe someone from that era could fill us in on where he might have been partying the night before.

No way was that a fumble on the Stratton sack. Tuck rule.

Plus Stratton would have been penalized and fined for the hit on Namath.

My neighbor had seasons back then. We were there for that one 45 yard line on the visitors side.

I was at that game.

I believe that was the only game we won that year on our way to 1-12-1.

The Jets meanwhile went on to win the Superbowl.

Strange days indeed.

Looks like the same old Bills. No defense to speak of, they had 5 interceptions and still almost lost the game. Some things never change., that's why we need a new owner to change the culture of this team.

I heard that Joe was out most of the night at Brunners with Marty Schottenheimer.
