Obama And His MO

Everyone knew who he was in 2008 the evidence was there if you were willing to honestly look for it. Sure you would immediately be branded as a hate monger, racist, xenophobe, a bitter gun clinger, out of touch etc... but if you could get past that and not be all consumed by catchy slogans, it was clear in 2008 he was who he is now. Yes we can!

To be fair, the 2008 was disgusting from some on the right. Some of the things said at rallies were appalling. Do you remember everybody calling him a terrorist?? That was a dark time that no one in the Republican party should want to look at.

Kudos to Sarah Palin for keeping it alive with her "shucking and jiving" comments the other day though.......

I know where it came from and I also know how it has been used in the past. Andrew Cuomo used the same language describing Obama in 2008. There are racial undertones there 100%. Sarah Palin knew what she was saying and how she was sayg it.

Grow up. It's not racial. It's cultural. I grew up in a 99.9% white environment and we used "shuckin' and jivin" to describe someone who was crapping all over the truth to get his side of the story out. It's of an age. The 80's. Not a race. You weren't even born until 1992.

1988!

Is what did comparable to the massive amount of white kids nowadays in all white areas calling each other the n-word? Just because white people use words between themselves doesn't mean there isn't racial meaning to it when used in a separate manner.

We, as a country should be embarrased.

What is in that "aritcle" that isn't pure conjecture by somebody who obviously doesn't like the president? Is the "news" here that he thought he won a debate that he didn't? That he doesn't particularly care for debates? It is basically an opinion piece. Big whoop!

Yeah, I don't really see the big deal about the article either. Just a standard conservative viewpoint...

if it is a racist term, it is always racist, not just when Republicans use it.

It's his special brand of arrogance and sense that he's entitled to the Presidency.

"Some aides anonymously revealed that Obama’s disdain for Romney runs so deep he considered preparation for the contest, and Romney as well, beneath him. His dripping contempt was palpable on the stage, as he refused to make sustained eye-contact with Romney, looking down at his shoes as if they were outfitted with a teleprompter.

In fact, the President spent much of the debate rambling through vapid talking points like he was lost in a fugue-state, tongue tied and generally torpid. It was obvious that he did not adequately prepare but now we know it wasn’t because of a demanding schedule (the day before the debate he visited the Hoover Dam instead of practicing, much to his advisors’ chagrin). He shirked what would seem like a top priority duty because he couldn’t muster even the duplicitous feint of respect for an opposing viewpoint, disgusted that someone has the audacity to challenge his ex officio proclamations.

But we learned even more than that, or at least had our growing suspicions about Obama dispositively confirmed. Despite all the contentless folderol about the virtue and wonder of bipartisan cooperation he spouted during his first campaign for president, Obama loathes dissent and only begrudgingly and condescendingly tolerates being contradicted. His brand of strident confidence crosses a line into elitist hubris, shorn of every follicle of humility, convinced that all who disagree with him are benighted fools or evil adversaries."

A good take on Obama from Peggy Noonan:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204530504578079232194509700.html?mod=WSJ_hpp_sections_opinion

"He misread his Republican opponents from day one. If he had been large-spirited and conciliatory he would have effectively undercut them, and kept them from uniting. (If he'd been large-spirited with Mr. Romney, he would have undercut him, too.) Instead he was toughly partisan, he shut them out, and positions hardened. In time Republicans came to think he doesn't really listen, doesn't really hear. So did some Democrats. Business leaders and mighty CEOs felt patronized: After inviting them to meet with him, the president read from a teleprompter and included the press. They felt like "window dressing." One spoke of Obama's surface polish and essential remoteness. In negotiation he did not cajole, seduce, muscle or win sympathy. He instructed. He claimed deep understanding of his adversaries and their motives but was often incorrect. He told staffers that John Boehner, one of 11 children of a small-town bar owner, was a "country club Republican." He was often patronizing, which in the old and accomplished is irritating but in the young and inexperienced is infuriating. "Boehner said he hated going down to the White House to listen to what amounted to presidential lectures," Mr. Woodward writes."

No. I remember very very few people calling him a terrorist, who no one ever took seriously except people like you who were just begging to be offended so as to justify your own idiotic views of those across the aisle.

More distractions.

Let's stay focused

$16 trillion debt, 23 million unemployed, $4/gal gas, and a dead ambassador.
