Jim in Anchorage Posted October 24, 2012 Author Posted October 24, 2012 Mine keep getting choked...but they are usually OK afterwards.... Somehow shooting plays into this but I won't go there.
Just Jack Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Better go take a look. http://www.adn.com/2...le-raiding.html and the bear hide has been surrendered to the state. Can he get it back, or the meat from it?
Jim in Anchorage Posted October 24, 2012 Author Posted October 24, 2012 and the bear hide has been surrendered to the state. Can he get it back, or the meat from it? No. Defense of life or property shooting you have no right to any part of the animal.
Beerball Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 No. Defense of life or property shooting you have no right to any part of the animal. Is the meat used by local governmnent/state?
Jim in Anchorage Posted October 24, 2012 Author Posted October 24, 2012 Is the meat used by local governmnent/state? No one would want to eat a rotten fish eating fall bear and I mean no one . The smell is overwhelming. I doubt if a dog would eat it. The far more common moose road kills go to soup kitchens
Jim in Anchorage Posted October 24, 2012 Author Posted October 24, 2012 How the hell did my cool bear thread get hijacked to a mistaken for a skunk thread?
Beerball Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Seriously? no Didn't realize you were being serious. not How the hell did my cool bear thread get hijacked to a mistaken for a skunk thread? sorry
KD in CA Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 How the hell did my cool bear thread get hijacked to a mistaken for a skunk thread?
KD in CA Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I split the two threads now. You must be seriously bored today...
Jim in Anchorage Posted October 24, 2012 Author Posted October 24, 2012 You must be seriously bored today... Jack, no work? Can I start a thread without it switching over to last post wins stuff?
Just Jack Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 You must be seriously bored today... Not really, the skunk thread should have been it's own thread in the first place.
4BillsintheBurgh Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Not really, the skunk thread should have been it's own thread in the first place. Sorry, my fault.
Jim in Anchorage Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 Lot of trouble with chickens lately. http://www.adn.com/2012/10/24/2670334/apd-cautions-of-wounded-brown.html
BillsWatch Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 I found the chickens perched in its branches.of the tree most interesting. Never saw chickens in trees.
Beerball Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Another tragic chicken story: http://www.kshb.com/dpp/news/crime/man-robs-churches-chicken-with-samurai-sword
Fan in San Diego Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Chickens are dirt cheap, I would rather have the bear roaming around. Aren't those bears populations declining?
