billsfanone Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Didn't we bend over backwards to keep him here already?
The Tomcat Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 I thought we gave him an extention because Williams wanted him in Washington....
OnTheRocks Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 i know he was under contract for 2004 and the Bills refused to let him speak to the Redskins. I don't know what his status is for 2005.
ganesh Posted January 3, 2005 Author Posted January 3, 2005 I thought we gave him an extention because Williams wanted him in Washington.... 190588[/snapback] I don't hink he was extended beyond this year, just like the other defensive coaches. I hope he stays
eSJayDee Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 I don't think the duration of his contract is the issue. Typically, when a coach is offered a 'promotion' (i.e. position coach to coordinator, or Coord to HC), a team is obliged to let him go. I believe this is no longer a requirement, but you might otherwise be left w/ an unhappy employee & considering the effort that these guys are required to expend (like 100 hr work weeks), that's a bad thing.
