Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Vontaze Burfict is a fan favorite in Cincy, which really means he is kicking Butt. I was not in favor of bringing him in bc he was such a head case but looks like he is getting it together now. We should have at least I don't wasted a 5, 6, or 7th on him.

boyst Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Hindsight, 20/20. In this case, it's only 6 games.
Buffaloed in Pa Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Yeah I wanted him as a 6th or 7th rd pick. He has too much of a nasty attitude for this team.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 22, 2012 Author Posted October 22, 2012 huh? we wasted a 5th on Tank a 6th on Asper a 7th on Graham a 7th on Potter
Best Player Available Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Is it really possible to "waste" a 5,6, or 7th round pick? We typically waste our 1st round pick.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 22, 2012 Author Posted October 22, 2012 Is it really possible to "waste" a 5,6, or 7th round pick? We typically waste our 1st round pick. it is when you can get guys that can play, those late round picks are essential to depth of any team
NoSaint Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Cincy takes dozens of chances on guys like him - doesn't mean we should, just because they might have hit on one. Maybe.
boyst Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Would we have kept him on the team when we drafted him? I am not sure he would have made the cut.
Offside Number 76 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Cincy takes dozens of chances on guys like him - doesn't mean we should, just because they might have hit on one. Maybe. The Bills have hit on them, too. There's one starting at wideout, I think. It happens every draft. There are guys on, I don't know, Rams message boards or whatever thinking that their GM is an idiot for not taking Stevie in the 6th.
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Is it really possible to "waste" a 5,6, or 7th round pick? We typically waste our 1st round pick. This. X100 I agree and say this same point all the time. Which is why I want to draft tons of QBs until we find a franchise guy. What's the difference we blow so many picks anyways
Offside Number 76 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 This. X100 I agree and say this same point all the time. Which is why I want to draft tons of QBs until we find a franchise guy. What's the difference we blow so many picks anyways Now that, that makes sense. Almost every team should draft one every year. The Bills should draft two.
aristocrat Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 with burflict in the middle perhaps we can take maulaga off their hands?
Best Player Available Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 , I don't know, Rams message boards or whatever thinking that their GM is an idiot for not taking Stevie in the 6th. I don't know why, but I find that funny.
AReed Deep For6 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I don't know why, but I find that funny. We had a chance at Tom Brady and missed on it! Nothing funny here
dayman Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I wanted him. I wanted Jenoris Jenkins. I want every talented steal who drops b/c of problems. I want them all.
peterpan Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Yea, I woulda liked to take a flyer on this kid. IMO thats what those later picks are for - top talent that have issues so they fell. The Bengals are filled with those guys - Michael Johnson, Dunlop, Maleuga, PacMan Jones. It was obvious the guy could play - so take the risk. Where are all the guys who hated on him and said he was washed up? with burflict in the middle perhaps we can take maulaga off their hands? Burfict is outside
starrymessenger Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I wanted him. I wanted Jenoris Jenkins. I want every talented steal who drops b/c of problems. I want them all. Jenkins is looking like the best corner of his class. Would love to have gotten him on the cheap. True shut down corner and for a 180 pounder he can lay the lumber.
CBD Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 (edited) with burflict in the middle perhaps we can take maulaga off their hands? hes not in the middle, playing outside for injured Howard He had too many issues,on and off the field, which I'm sure will become an issue at some point in Cincy.
