Stenbar Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 at this point, it would be a mercy killing. Dont fire him...Put him on a platform right behind the bench with his headset on and everytime our defense does nothing(which is every play) the fans can pelt him with anything available. This would be much more stress relieving than giving him a free pass out of here..Make him suffer
Hanoverbills Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Was wanny the defensive coordinater at Dallas when we played them in SuperBowl? And if he was how did we loose to them?
BuffaloBillsForever Posted October 21, 2012 Author Posted October 21, 2012 Was wanny the defensive coordinater at Dallas when we played them in SuperBowl? And if he was how did we loose to them? 20 years ago bro. Wannstedt has proved he is an analog player in the digital world. Times have changed in the NFL.
1billsfan Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 in that case, fire Chan as well. There's no reason for a coaching changes until after the season. IMO it's silly to talk about. This team's clearly not Superbowl ready due in large part to the very poor starting QB situation. Fixing the defense, and in turn winning a few extra games, would only hurt this franchise by pushing them out of position to draft a 1st round franchise QB in the 2013 draft. They roll with who they have and see where the chips fall. This was a fun game to watch and to be honest I'm not terribly upset because I have no delusions of Superbowl grandeur until they hopefully get their franchise QB in 2013. In today's NFL the defenses are screwed. Yes we could be much better on that side, but it's not about defenses anymore. It's all about getting someone like Eli Manning who did what Fitzpatrick could not do. Win the game when they needed him most.
Mike in Syracuse Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 The amazing thing is blitzing is being rejected as being too risky. Versus 35, 45, 52 point efforts. The Bills could send eight guys on every play and it would be almost impossible to give up more points.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Mangini. I just can't recall there ever being a mid-season firing and hiring of someone who was a stranger to the organization. I think it has to be someone on the staff. And if the choice is between Sanders or Wanny, who really cares? btw, saw Jauron in the booth when I flipped to the Browns game today....and I missed him dearly.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 This defense is totally inexecusable. Perhaps historically on the trend for the worst defense of all time. His scheme is partially part of the problem. On the last touchdown you have to bring pressure. This is the most uninspiring defensive scheme I have ever witnessed. A guy like Mangini, even though historically is a 3-4 guy I believe can tighten this defense in a couple of weeks. Hire Mangini. He can fix scheme problems. sure why not
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 The amazing thing is blitzing is being rejected as being too risky. Versus 35, 45, 52 point efforts. It is funny isn't it or just sad that we run a vanilla defense out there each week instead of an attack oriented defense with multiple looks.
Best Player Available Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 btw, saw Jauron in the booth when I flipped to the Browns game today....and I missed him dearly. The 7-9 years, good times for sure. We all miss the good old days, I Don't know if this clown will hit 7 wins this year, his 3rd season here.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 I hav enever seen a MLB that gets tied up by WRs as does shep..
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 The 7-9 years, good times for sure. We all miss the good old days, I Don't know if this clown will hit 7 wins this year, his 3rd season here. I yearn for those years.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Kyle Moore got more pressure then Mr. 100 million!! as usual, Kelsay too
coloradobillsfan Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 since tarring and feathering is no longer PC, firing seems the next most sensible option.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 I say we Fire Wanny and then bench Fitz if we want to get this team headed in the right direction this year. Fitz was doing so well in this game and then comes in the "clutch" int to save the day
Tcali Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 My game plan: I would take Wanny's playbook and write on the top, "do the exact opposite." i like that one!
Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Chan just said in his presser, no coaching changes on D. of course not, can't get a top 5 pick if we keep winning, not that matters anyway, we will pick some schmo while everyone else picks probowlers around us.
davspo Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 OK. Since the overwhelming majority support canning wanny- it's pretty clear that he will be here for the duration. You see anything we could see this clearly, they can't. Seriously, please move this team Ralph, if you refuse to sell it.
Gray Beard Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Fitz was doing so well in this game and then comes in the "clutch" int to save the day Was anyone surprised that the losing play was a long, low percentage sidelone throw to a covered receiver on third and short? When the Fitz and Gailey era is finally, mercifully over, the fact that so many games were lost with that same play is something that I will remember for years to come.
T master Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 The offense did what they needed to do the defense was what lost this game , if you can't win a game with 35 points on the board it all falls on the D . Not to mention one back putting up 200 yds on you !!!!
Fan in San Diego Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 I would agree we need a change at DC. We can't let this team float down the river like a turd and end the season as the worst defense in the NFL. This team has talent, just not being coached correctly. Bye Bye Wanny!
