Damond Talbot Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 What do you all think? I saw this and had to write an article. Crazy just look at the stats.... http://nomorelinks.com/draft-news/bills-should-be-worried-about-second-year-corner-aaron-williams/
Billsrhody Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Good, there's only one way to go, but up. Haha there you go
Shouldaplayedflutie99 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I'm not surprised...he is a total liability...If Brooks was healthy I predicted him to be starting by mid-season. Aaron is very bad. I do like other peoples suggestions of him trying at safety. Mayock said he thought he would be drafted as a safety project anyways, if I remember correctly.....all that said, I'm glad he only gave up one big catch last week and no TDs!
auburnbillsbacker Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Buddy said after the draft that Williams lacked "long sped." After that statement I assumed that he would end up the nickel CB who covered the slot receiver. I was shocked when her became the bills #2 CB.

Hard to plan for an injury like that
Billshank Redemption Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 hopefully with brooks being back it will take him out of the equation he has just been downright awful in coverage and its pretty obvious he doesnt have the speed to match up and is consistently getting beat on the 9 route.

RyanC883 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I'd like to see him at Safety. Good hitter, probably solid, lacks speed though for CB position.
CarolinaBill Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Now everyone is Hyping Brooks up to be the savior of the corners, so when he struggles the first few games back, or at any time, he's gonna "suck" too....
brambills Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Another wasted pick... The second pick overall in the second round and they 24 hours to think about it and this was their decision.
BuffBill Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I have seen every game he has played in and honestly I can't disagree. The name on his jersey should say "toast" instead of "Williams."
PaattMaann Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Another wasted pick... The second pick overall in the second round and they 24 hours to think about it and this was their decision. another??? what were the other wasted picks? Troup and Carrington I could kind of see because they were drafted for a defense we no longer run (although Carrington has shown flashes and still has potential)
stony Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Another wasted pick... The second pick overall in the second round and they 24 hours to think about it and this was their decision. Perhaps. But maybe he turns into a good safety. To Buddy's defense, the draft advisory board and many "experts" predicted he was a late first rounder/early second. This wasn't a Troup type of pick where Buddy thought he was smarter than everyone else.
dave mcbride Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Have the Bills ever had success with draft picks from the U of Texas??
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 ehh who cares - but this I like Buffalo Bills safety Jairus Byrd has quietly become one of the AFC East's best defensive playmakers. Byrd had another big game in Week 6, which earned him AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Byrd recorded four tackles and two timely interceptions in a 19-16 overtime win over the Arizona Cardinals. His overtime interception set up Buffalo’s game-winning field goal.
cfbillsfan Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I was perplexed when Williams was named as a starter. I never saw anything from him lat year that made me think he was anything special. I prefer McKelvin. McKelvin is always THERE, just never seems to make the play, but he is always there step for step, he just needs to FINISH. I say start McKelvin over Williams. GO BILLS!
boyst Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 He is in his second year. I am not ready to give up on him as a Bill. There is upside with him, and as noted above there is only one way to go when you're at the bottom.
Mr. WEO Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Have the Bills ever had success with draft picks from the U of Texas?? No, but who really has? Orakpo and a couple of RBs over the past several years...
Damond Talbot Posted October 19, 2012 Author Posted October 19, 2012 Still that is pretty crazy, Williams was a second round pick
