NoSaint Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 (edited) Jimmy Kennedy, the vikings player who they claim they got the initial report from (by way of childress), claims he was never even interviewed. his claim is that during halftime of the game he made a comment that they were hitting favre like they had money on him. nothing more. no discussion with a former saint the following year, no reporting anything to his coach, no nfl interviews. The discussion down here is that he is meeting with lawyers to discuss options for joining in on the legal proceedings and filing his own lawsuit against the NFL for misrepresenting their interactions with him. it just seems like this should be pretty black and white with no semantics like the other players (bounty vs PFP for example). itll be interesting to see if he actually files, or just talks a big game to try and cover himself and then quietly disappears. Kennedy staunchly rejected the league's assertions about him on social media last week. Vilma has already sued the commissioner for defamation, and there could be additional legal options available to the other players involved as well. while the nfl would like to see this wrapping up, it seems to be growing still, potentially.
