PromoTheRobot
Meh. Syracuse will get a slap on the wrist. No meaningful sanctions, etc. Marquee programs with iconic coaches don't get punished. Boeheim knows it. PTR
The Poojer
if they truly do something wrong they will...UCONN did, many programs have. NCAA has allegedly already investigated these issues and decided there was no basis for sanctions. NCAA has no love for Syracuse or Boehiem. Meh. Syracuse will get a slap on the wrist. Miyagi-Do Karate
Heh...sorry, not sure how I missed your reply! I must say that I'm rather enjoying this game. Also, how about Harvard?!?!? I watch this game as a 4 seed, and can only think that this should have been what they looked like against Vermont in 2004. Still smarting over that loss. Btw, vcu looked insanely good. The Poojer
What an awesome performance. Rak, Baye & Dajuan showed how dangerous this team can be. Nothing more to add, the game speaks for itself. Suck it Seth Davis. And how about my 2 teams winning by a combined 93 points!
The Poojer
at least Seth Davis honored his bet http://www.syracuse.com/orangebasketball/index.ssf/2013/03/seth_davis_is_man_of_his_word.html
Miyagi-Do Karate
I saw the post game with Seth Davis. He was gracious in defeat. It's tough to pick upsets when, like Davis probably did, you just look at stats. I thought syracuse played pretty well, but it was clear, to me, that Montana was probably the worst team they played all year.
Acantha
Wow, Georgetown out. I give all the credit to SU. That tourney loss really must have stuck with them.
Just Jack
SU's women lost to Creighton today in the first round of the Womens bracket. It was anticipated that this team would be the first to make it past the first round. http://blog.syracuse.com/orangewomen/2013/03/orange_womens_basketball_falls.html http://espn.go.com/w...rnament/bracket

Montana was worse than all of the 14 seeds and two of the 15's per kenpom. A pretty clear case of trolling by him.

JM57
Should be an interesting game tonight since the venue is only 40 mins from Berkeley. Don't know a ton about the Bears. They're not a big 3pt team are they? As in...they would need a bad performance by Cuse to win as opposed to just a hot night from behind the arc? I think they will zone us. We will win if southerland and Triche shoot well, and drive them out of their zone.
BuffOrange
Well yah we will beat darn near everyone if Southerland/Triche shoot well. Question is can we win if they don't. This is probably the last game of the tournament that answer is yes.
Miyagi-Do Karate
Wow. What an ugly game. Bad officiating. oh, well, survive and move on. I think I'd rather play Indiana than temple in the next round.
inkman
Making it this far is about as good as I expected. They didn't play too well but they just had way more talent than Cal. I haven't followed Indiana too much, hopefully they don't have anyone like Blake Griffin or Jared Sullinger to completely outclass them in the next round.
