power rankings are the most assinine, pointless, mind numbing waste of time in discussing a sport.

they are completely irrelevant to the game, to playoff implications, to statistics, to enjoyment of the sport, and to anything that could in any way be construed as a reason why a fan would follow the sport.

they exist solely for the purpose of generating page views for espn.com.

if i was the moderator of this site, i would allow

snuff films

child pornography

uploading of movies/music/video games and ebooks

copy/pasting of entire sections of websites that are locked to those who arent "insiders"

racial language

non-censorship of every word in the history of humanity

the planning of co-ordinated illicit activities including, but not limited to, terrorism, violence and the selling and/or purchasing of narcotics

and things far worse than all of those

before i allowed posting of links to power rankings.

FOR INSTANCE: in the magical kingdom in the clouds, where this list is constructed, lets just say that the God-appointed-ESPN-rulers-of-the-universe/the-NFL were allowed to hold a "tournament" of sorts for their power rankings, inviting the top 16 teams on their list. 1 plays 16, 2 plays 15, standard tournament affair. well, the cardinals are the "11th best" team in football, so they would be in, while we are the "25th best," so we would be out. yet we just went on the road, and beat them in their house? 3 days ago. so...?

hahahaha...dude, you are quickly becoming one of the best posters on here...keep up the good work

Very interesting rankings: Patriots 3-3 ranked 7th. Bills 3-3 ranked 25th. Not that I disagree at all with the rankings but just shows how wacky this year has been.

Ne has lost 3 games by a total of 4 points. The Bills have lost 3 games by a total of 86 points. That might explain the discrepency in the rankings.

Aren't you the guy who recently tried to convince us that, simply because a line in Vegas exists for the Bills making the playoffs, we should be excited about this because unless Vegas sports books "knew things" we don't know about teams, they wouldn't put a line out?

You get that from the cloud kingdom also?
