DC Tom Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Good. I'm jonesing to watch two Buffalo teams suck.
eball Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Good. I'm jonesing to watch two Buffalo teams suck. Miller's overpaid! Lindy's system stifles the talents of his players! Leino is a bust! Sorry, just getting ready for the season to start.
quinnearlysghost88 Posted October 16, 2012 Author Posted October 16, 2012 Mogilny was the last player that gave a S%$T!!! yeah that feels good.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 A rushed 82 game schedule without a preseason or organized training? Injuries galore is my guess. Guys playing in Europe currently will have an advantage.
DC Tom Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Mogilny was the last player that gave a S%$T!!! yeah that feels good. Afinigenov gave a ****. He just didn't know how to play hockey. But damn if that man didn't care about it!
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Trade Derek Roy - he doesn't buy into the system!!! Get somebody with some toughness!!!! Wait, what?
shrader Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 A rushed 82 game schedule without a preseason or organized training? Injuries galore is my guess. Guys playing in Europe currently will have an advantage. Watch a typical NHL preseason game. They're completely pointless. These guys won't miss a step.
Fezmid Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 "(The offer) is not short, and there were some explanatory documents that we still have to wade through,'' NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr told the assembled media at the union head office."So the process that we're going to engage in now is to make sure we read it completely and fully, that we understand it ... then obviously what we will do is discuss it internally with our own negotiating committee and executive board and then get back together with the NHL." What?! If we can pass health care reform without actually reading it, then surely the players can just sign this and find out what's in the deal later. C'mon!
plenzmd1 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I was hoping for a 60 game sked that begins around Christmas...trying to cut back on beers in the fall, and not having the Sabres on helps immensely in that pursuit.
Captain Hindsight Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Havent been fallowing this all that closely. Are the close to a deal? I would love to watch some hockey this year
plenzmd1 Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 So Mckenzie not so high on a deal getting done http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=407542
shrader Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 So Mckenzie not so high on a deal getting done http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=407542 I love the line about how Fehr doesn't know whether or not this is a serious attempt from the league to negotiate. That's pretty funny considering that the players have yet to negotiate in any way.
NoSaint Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 (edited) Interesting article on where the league would be if they accepted an offer from bain capital to buy the entire nhl in 2005 http://deadspin.com/5939623/where-would-the-nhl-be-if-bain-capital-had-bought-the-whole-league-in-2005 Edited October 17, 2012 by NoSaint
Dante Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 So Mckenzie not so high on a deal getting done http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=407542 At least it's something. Hopefully this will jump start negotiations.
Kevin Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Someone tweeted Logan Couture about the 50/50 split and Logan replied "wait to get all details first. That side has been known to say one thing and tell media something different". GO SHARKS!
KD in CA Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 I was hoping for a 60 game sked that begins around Christmas...trying to cut back on beers in the fall, and not having the Sabres on helps immensely in that pursuit. The problem with that is it usually takes the Sabres 60 games to wake up and start playing decent hockey.
