The Big Cat Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Yes, we. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000081159/article/report-kevin-kolb-expected-to-miss-several-weeks?module=HP11_headline_stack ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Kolb will not play in Week 7 against the Minnesota Vikings. He's expected to be out several weeks after he had multiple ribs detach from his sternum. Yikes. Kolb also suffered a "sprained sternoclavicular joint." Holy shnikees...
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I believe it was Carrington that landed right on top of him. Padding can only do so much against 300 pounds of flesh and gravity.
Fan in San Diego Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I read in the Arizona articles he fell on the ball and then Carrington landed on top to drive it in hard.
zow2 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Imagine just getting out of bed in the morning with that injury. Simple movement has got to be painful.
bills44 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 didn't people rip Rob Johnson for missing time with a similar injury?
stevestojan Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Broke ribs in college. Awful awful pain. I can't even imagine how bad this hurts. Seperated from the sternum? ****.
Joe Miner Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Fortunately for him they were his spare ribs.
leh-nerd skin-erd Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Potentially very serious, right near the Fallopian tubes.
Fan in San Diego Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Broke ribs in college. Awful awful pain. I can't even imagine how bad this hurts. Seperated from the sternum? ****. I broke ribs in an offroad ATV accident. Very painful for weeks. The really hard thing was putting the ATV back into the back of my truck, packing my camper and driving home.
Mr. WEO Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 didn't people rip Rob Johnson for missing time with a similar injury? No, RJ simply fell on the ball. The football put him out for the season.
bills44 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 No, RJ simply fell on the ball. The football put him out for the season. He went on IR?
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I think RJ fell on the point of the ball and it went between 2 of his ribs, separating them.
billsfan_34 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Potentially very serious, right near the Fallopian tubes. LOL Broke ribs in college. Awful awful pain. I can't even imagine how bad this hurts. Seperated from the sternum? ****. Very painful...I would rather have broken then detached......holy pain and he walked off.....hats off to him tough dude!!!
3rdand12 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I watched the play, it was so clean and respectable i was surprised he was injured. At least the QB conflict is settled for a while with arizona. And we got a win. But having a 300 pounded Bill finish taking you down with all his weight on your body is bad enough. Having the ball between Kolb and the ground was what killed 'em! and yes thats gotta hurt. Fan in S D, you are good soldier not to leave your ride out there. Pretty sure i would have cried myself home after kicking the ATV for dumping me!
Nuncha Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Imagine just getting out of bed in the morning with that injury. Simple movement has got to be painful. Movement - try every breath you take hurts.....
