genomich Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 the choice seems pretty obvious now. lebeau took what was a crappy defense last year and turned it into a monster. td starters got whooped by cowher's scrubs. bledsoe is the classic choker, we will never move on beyond average with him around.

Their Defense stunk up the joint last year....they were 30th in the league against the Pass last year....Le Beau comes in and just replaced the cornerbacks with the backups and boom he builds it into the #1 defense. But in defense of Mularkey, MM did offer the job first to LeBeau. But LeBeau with his roots tied to Pittsburgh (his kid still went to school in Pitt) he chose the obvious and the results are showing in... Don't get me wrong...Jerry Gray runs a pretty good ship...But his biggest problem for the whole season came back to bite him in the end.....the inability to stop 3rd and long....Yesterday at one point the steelers were 7 of 9 in 3rd down conversions in the 1st half and most of those were 3rd and 9s and 3rd 10s....
