dhg Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 To be included as part of Novembers bill they are going to start charging $3.95 a month for the modem. I love the blurb in the article about how its is going to provide a better user experience. WTF? Don't they already get enough of my damn money? http://www.buffalonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20121015/CITYANDREGION/121019456/1002
Just Jack Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Talked with my brother about this a couple weeks ago, since he does installs for TW. Depending on when your account started, they've actually been charging for a while, maybe a dollar or two. So this is more of a price increase than new charge. In the long run, it'll be cheaper to buy your own modem.
shrader Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 They weren't charging a rental fee since day one? I figured this was standard approach from the cable companies.
Fezmid Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Comcast has been charging since day 1. Reminds me, I should probably go buy my own since my new company doesn't reimburse broadband...
