ChasBB Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2012/10/15/packers-claim-rb-white/ Hate to see him go. He didn't get on the field a whole bunch, but was solid depth. This decision to carry two kickers and four quarterbacks can hurt depth at other positions and here's an example.
OvrOfficiousJerk Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Like everyone else says, it's a good sign when your castoffs are picked up by other organizations. I liked him too, and with CJ/Fred being injury risks, having a fourth RB is critical. Dorin is a good pass catcher in the flats and such, but Johnny was a decent RB between the tackles. Too bad to see him go.
FigPatrick Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I think he will be the best RB we have let go in a long time.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Eh… how many really good white running backs are there anyways?

Ya Bummer and liked him better then Choice and good for greenbay second favorite team !

Yeah, the poor guy may have to play into February, while his ex-Bill buddies will be vacationing by then... Good luck, Johnny!

Fixxxer Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I was never impressed with the guy but I hope he does well with the Packers. Good luck Johnny.
BiggieScooby Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Makes sense for GB. They've think they've found a gold mine in Buffalo area first with James Starks now White.
ChasBB Posted October 15, 2012 Author Posted October 15, 2012 Like everyone else says, it's a good sign when your castoffs are picked up by other organizations. True You complain about 2 kickers and 4 QBs but want to keep 6 RBs? PTR I'm not really counting the fullback position, so we really just have three. Just hope they can stay healthy. I was never impressed with the guy but I hope he does well with the Packers. Good luck Johnny. Yeah, I know what you mean, but at the same time it was a pretty hard lineup to crack. I just think he has some upside. But injuries at other positions force these types of moves and not much can be done.
Astrobot Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 He'll do better behind the Packers' O-Line than our banged-up excuse of a line. Our line now is Levitre-Wood. Observe the blocks on Spiller's 33-yard run! http://www.buffalobills.com/media-center/videos/Spiller-33-yard-sprint/0a1500b7-d9c9-48bd-a748-8ba276ece5de Good luck, Johnny!
San Jose Bills Fan Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I don't know Astro… I'm not sure you give our O-line enough credit. That Arizona front 7 is pretty good and we ran the ball pretty well with almost no threat of a passing game.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 White is average. We've had a lot better 4th string-type backs through here that we've let go--like Joique Bell and Lionel Gates. But even so, not sure what Dorin Dickerson has done to justify his roster spot yet...

OvrOfficiousJerk Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 You complain about 2 kickers and 4 QBs but want to keep 6 RBs? PTR When one is coming off a season-ending injury and another is more of an H-back, it makes a lot more sense.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I'd still like to see a big bruising, ice-the-game kind of back. BTW, I got a close up of Cory McIntyre yesterday… that dude is BIG!!!
Coach Tuesday Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 2 kickers and 4 QBs and yet we can't kick a field goal past 50 yards or throw the ball farther than 20 yards.
Buffalos#1Fan Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I think he will be the best RB we have let go in a long time. Joique Bell was probably better
ajzepp Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 2 kickers and 4 QBs and yet we can't kick a field goal past 50 yards or throw the ball farther than 20 yards. lol, that's pretty fugged up when you think of it that way
Mark Vader Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Makes sense for GB. They've think they've found a gold mine in Buffalo area first with James Starks now White. Speaking of which, what has become of Starks? Is he injured? Have not seen him all season.
