SageAgainstTheMachine Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 The AP write up seems to think so... http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=321014022 That would make me feel a little better, because a straight up miss from 38 yards is just a measure of good luck. A tip is a nice play.
NickelCity Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I thought I saw him pretty jazzed up after the miss. I actually focused on it during the replay but couldn't see for sure.
Shouldaplayedflutie99 Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I was there...midfield and before I saw it was a miss I thought it was tipped...not positive because I saw no replay, but I'd say tip.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted October 15, 2012 Author Posted October 15, 2012 Pretty funny that a backup DT's pinky finger (or some such) saved the season. For the time being.
Kelly the Dog Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Carrington tipped it. Mario was talking after the game about what a great play he made on it to get his hand on it.
Doc Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Luck or tip, doesn't really matter. They won. But good play by Carrington all the same.
34-78-83 Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 The players acknowledged it was tipped by Carrington in their interviews postgame...
peterpan Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Carrington has been producing this season. Everytime I notice him in their he gets pressure. I think he needs more PT.
kickedface Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 its tough to see, but most sources seem to think that's what happened. carrington is having a pretty good year when he get his reps.
Astrobot Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 A tip, which should make Feely feel slightly better! He didn't Norwood it.
Webster Guy Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Carrington has been producing this season. Everytime I notice him in their he gets pressure. I think he needs more PT. He was the one who knocked Kolb out of the game too. Skelton came in and was 2 for 10 with the big INT.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 (edited) Carrington tipped it. Mario was talking after the game about what a great play he made on it to get his hand on it. You mean Mario was trying to take credit for it? 6 foot 5 guy with a 33 inch vertical leap The guy's a total specimen and getting better each week. Now if only Troup can resurrect his career we can look back on the 2010 draft as a good one. Edited October 16, 2012 by San Jose Bills Fan
Dragonborn10 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I have no problem letting him play DT on FG block, but he should be getting minutes at DE not back-up DT.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 (edited) I had the game recorded, I watched the play a few times and in one view I saw three hands go up and the ball alter slightly. It was tough to see from the angle and distance. Carrington’s hand (one of many) was the closet by my judgment to have tipped the ball. From the goal line camera you could see the names and numbers of the 3 who made the attempt to tip it. Edited October 16, 2012 by BillsFan-4-Ever
San Jose Bills Fan Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Anyways Carrington said he tipped it and that fact was corroborated by his teammates. I wonder why any of them would feel the need to lie or why their would be a conspiracy to lie.
Uncle Joe Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 I gave up on the game after the completion to Fitzgerald (I was listening on WGR). I mean the 61 yd FG was enough already!!! When I go back to the local West Coast TV game it shows Az & Buffalo in OT. WTF? So now the mojo changes after the punt and ex-Duck Byrd gets the interception, FG - Bills WIN! Hopefully McKinley's curse has been erased...even a screen name like AlexCarrington'sFinger sounds cool. Oh well, there is alway's next week. Go Bills!
