Meathead Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 over the years ive noticed when one team really needs to win a game and the other team could survive without it, the more desperate team usually wins first off, the bills must feel like the laughingstocks of the league right now after record setting ineptitude in the last two historic halves of games. they also know if they lose today their playoff hopes become very slim as they would have to go 8-2 the rest of the way the cards really dont need this game to stay in good shape for the playoffs. at 4-2 they only need to go 6-4 to have a good shot for at least a wildcard. yes they would likely go down a game on sf for the division but this one game isnt really big for them in terms of tie-breakers unless they split with the niners and end up with the same record and the same record in the division i think we will see a super focused and maximally motivated bills team today starving for a chance at redemption. the cards certainly want to win, but they simply cant match the sheer desperation the bills should be bringing to the field this game will look a lot like the kc game and the bills will win relatively comfortably so rules judge mh. so it shall be
Luxy312 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I wouldn't be surprised to see William Powell run for 150 and two scores today. Bills can't stop anyone.
swnybillsfan Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 (edited) i'm really hoping that you are right. i would love to see the bills be playing a team that is good for what ails them, rather than the other way around. it would be a very welcome sight to see the bills on the right side of a good ol' fashioned butt whoopin'! (that is, i am hoping that the meathead is right, not luxy) Edited October 14, 2012 by swnybillsfan
jeanbe Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I'll be at the game today with co-workers and will proudly wear my Bills gear but I fear that the Cards will run all over us and then throw at will. I don't have a good feeling. I would love for the Bills to come out and smell blood and just pile it on the Cards.
Bills!Win! Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I started Powell in my fantasy league just Becuase he's playing the bills. That'll tell you who I think will win
jkrules Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I have some land for sale in Florida if you are interested.
The Avenger Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Today's game is a major test and so far the Bills have passed all of their major tests with flying colors! Oh, wait....
Big C Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I'm keeping the faith alive. At 2-3 right now, with a chance to go 4-3 into the bye before two brutal road games, this is as close to a must-win game as you'll find this early in the season. I like our chances too.
Badasss Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 The Bills have been desperate for a new QB, GM, and FO for the past few yrs, but we're still stuck with Fitz, Nix, brandon, etc.
disco Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 3 weeks ago in the second half the Eagles exposed how weak the Cards o-line was with increased pressure and blitzes. Blown out in the first half, the Eagles held ARI to just 3 points in the second half. MIA exploited the weakness the following weak recording 8 sacks, and STL continued the trend last week absolutely dominating the Card's oline and recording 9 sacks. The off-season d-line champion Buffalo Bills get a chance to prove their worth against a horrible o-line that's given up 17 sacks in 2 weeks. If there's a perfect match-up to get them off the mat, this is it.
The Voice of Truth Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 (edited) One line by Chan that concerned me this week: "We didn't treat it like a vacation." He was referring to the team staying out in Arizona. Hey Chan, the fact that treating it like a vacation even crossed your mind is a problem. Do you think you deserve praise for "not treating it like a vacation." No sh** you didn't treat it like a vacation. That shouldn't even be on the table or in anybody's mind. Do you know why? Because it is not a vacation by any stretch! I hope the players in the website pictures sitting around the pitfires (at the hotel in AZ) singing kumbaya didn't treat it like a vacation either, but it sounds like the idea at least crossed the team's mind. If they freaking lay down again today, look out. The 15 year playoff drought combined with a team that doesn't put in high effort is a combination that even Bills Fans (extremely die hard) won't stick around for. SageAgainstTheMachine Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I don't understand guarantees. So you're saying there's a 0% chance they lose?
San Jose Bills Fan Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 (edited) Possible positives for today: Cards have a pathetic offense and poor quarterbacking as well as a bad offensive line. Bills have "bonded" over the last two weeks in Arizona. Fitz lives in the Phoenix area and this is a homecoming for a player who desperately needs to repair his own psyche and that of the team. There will be an estimated 5000 Bills fans in the stadium… roughly one out of every 13 attendees. Trap game… the Cards host the Niners next week. Blue pants. Extreme desperation. Possible Negatives: The Bills O-line is in an injury-riddled shambles and the Cards front 7 is outstanding. Conclusion: See? Once again I've talked myself into believing that the Bills will win today. Edited October 14, 2012 by San Jose Bills Fan
Nanker Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I have some land for sale in Florida if you are interested. And I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale. A very nice bridge, I might say.
Rob's House Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 This is where we find out what kind of character this team has. AZ has a solid D and losing a tight smash mouth game wouldn't be devastating, but if the team gives up again and suffers another blow-out loss, that will be the nail in the coffin.
HOUSE Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Hope you are right but I wouldn't bet $1 on the Biils right now.
FanofFredJackson Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I guarantee a Buffalose Bills road loss to the Cards today. New previously unknown superstars will emerge from the Cards roster to give the Cards a 27- 20 victory at home. Take it to the bank.
Meathead Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 I don't understand guarantees. So you're saying there's a 0% chance they lose? yes thats exactly what im saying if you own a house, it is safe to put it up for collateral on a loan in a casino to bet everything on the bills youre welcome
Just Jack Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 told ya you had a 50-50 chance of being right. And you were, so we salute you.
