jrb2590 Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Anyone watch this game? Unbelievable finish. I want Manti teo on this team more than anything, besides a top notch sure thing QB. The man is a leader and incredibly mature and confident and a hell of a good LB. I hope we can draft this kid Quote
BuffaninATL Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 I thought that ball crossed the plane in OT and it was the wrong call to let it stand. Quote
jrb2590 Posted October 13, 2012 Author Posted October 13, 2012 It was close I don't know. Shoulda been blown dead in my opinion however I think his left elbow may have been down right before he reached over. Crazy ending regardless. They definitely would've needed some without a doubt evidence to overturn that call at home, there would've been uproar Quote
Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Sorry, Stanford Got Screwed, Taylor was not down as he was on top of bodies when he reached across the goal line. I don't want ANYONE from ND! Why? Quote
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Half the ND players were too busy celebrating instead of jumping on the guy and making sure he was down. Almost cost them! Quote
KD in CA Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Sorry, Stanford Got Screwed, Taylor was not down as he was on top of bodies when he reached across the goal line. It's football, not rugby. His forward progress was clearly stopped, not that he conclusively cross the goal line anyway. Regardless, it was an incredible goal line stand and a real gut check win for the Irish. Quote

May Day 10 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 whistle never blew, he never stopped moving, he crossed the goal line. You have to expect Notre Dame to get all the close ones though so its understandable. Quote
