dayman
In defense of Ryan last night, he couldn't get into any details, since he couldn't get a third of a way through an answer without Biden calling "bull ****!" He has quite a bit of time to talk, and gave nothing more than the boilerplate BS on every single issue. One after another. Anyway this thread is hilarious, people debating whether the Kennedy comment was rehearsed? .... better chance the "send me a letter any time I'll entertain it" was rehearsed...and that was a good line. He couldn't get a word it? BOOO HOOO  cry us a river what a pathetic excuse. To be more specific - What details does he have? You failed here, you failed there, you let people die blah blah as I already posted - on the last question of the debate was asked a specific question and didn't answer it. So I'm hearing that things are starting to turn around. Is that because of the stonewalling of the Republicans or in spite of? I'm just wondering. Yes, you could say his plans are succeeding in spite of the opposition to his every move. Imagine how much better it could have been if he had true bipartisan support. Oh there I go again... expecting a conservative to play by their own rules. Does Ryan think that if he and Myth get elected all will be well in DC "just because" they are so great? Oh there I go again... expecting a conservative to play by their own rules. Does Ryan think that if he and Myth get elected all will be well in DC "just because" they are so great? Hey there BF4E, see below, just in case you missed it before: BillsFan-4-Ever, on 12 October 2012 - 08:11 AM, said: so I embellished. That's a crime? Everyone here does it. RYAN: "We cannot allow Iran to gain a nuclear weapons capability. Now, let's take a look at where we've gone — come from. When Barack Obama was elected, they had enough fissile material — nuclear material — to make one bomb. Now they have enough for five. They're racing toward a nuclear weapon. They're four years closer toward a nuclear weapons capability." THE FACTS: Ryan's claim is misleading. Iran isn't believed to have produced any of the highly enriched uranium needed to produce even one nuclear weapon, let alone five. That point isn't even disputed by Israel, whose Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu implored the world at the United Nations last month to create a "red line" at enrichment above 20 percent. Iran would have to enrich uranium at much higher levels to produce a weapon. There is intelligence suggesting that Iran has worked on weapon designs, but not that it has developed a delivery system for any potential nuclear warhead. You didn't embellish, you lied. Also, why are you posting the same quote in multiple threads? Why aren't you providing a link and giving credit for what someone else wrote? I embellished lied when I said the GOP staged the Photoshop of Ryan for P90X Why did I post the same thing in multiple threads? Is that a crime? Does it matter? well obvious to you it does. (except of course when you repeat crap in a dozen threads) If you must know - I made the post here in the Kennedy thread before I read the other - game day - thread. Please do forgive me for not deleting it in one or the other. and you can shove you request for a link to where your head is at. You're a smart guy (or so you say) Google it!!!! or you can Yahoo it!! B-Large
In defense of Ryan last night, he couldn't get into any details, since he couldn't get a third of a way through an answer without Biden calling "bull ****!" I think after rewatching it, the debate was not about details (even though that is what everybody wants, ar at least thats what they say) I think it was more a referedum on whether Jolting Joe and the Jelly Boy still had the fight and gumption to get back in the WH.... I think Ryan could have been more animated and he did show his neubness to the national stage, but I don't think he wins that debate any way, shape or form- I think Ryan was just kind of "there", all eyes were on the incumbent and how he would react to the "meh" Wednesday night debate. Now if this board was sitting in a room with Ryan/Biden, details would be welcome, analyzed and understood... but for most Americans, they like the Chicago style Razzle Dazzle. erynthered
Nice try Jumpin Joe. Keep smiling while Lying Mr. Gaffer. LOL Biden Falsely Claims He Voted Against Afghanistan, Iraq Wars http://nation.foxnew...istan-iraq-wars Vice President Joe Biden accused Rep. Paul Ryan of putting two wars on the "credit card," and then suggested he voted against the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. "By the way, they talk about this great recession like it fell out of the sky–like, 'Oh my goodness, where did it come from?'" Biden said. "It came from this man voting to put two wars on a credit card, at the same time, put a prescription drug plan on the credit card, a trillion dollar tax cut for the very wealthy." "I was there, I voted against them," Biden continued. "I said, no, we can't afford that."

DC Tom
He couldn't get a word it? BOOO HOOO  cry us a river what a pathetic excuse. It's not a complaint or an excuse. Every time he could have started providing detail (and by the way, it's awfully silly to ask for that much detail in a "you have two minutes" debate format designed to promote shallow answers - Biden didn't provide details either), Biden jumped in, cut him off, and put Ryan on the defensive. And that, I consider just good debate tactics. To be more specific - What details does he have? You failed here, you failed there, you let people die blah blah I don't know, Biden wouldn't let him talk about any.

Tom so terribly disappointed that the great wonk wasn't "allowed" to provide all the secret details that make so much sense? It's just the same crap Tom, Biden cut him of b/c he would delve into the same mismashed fudged figures every idiot blogger uses. It's convenient to assume that had he been able to speak more the world would have realized he is right and all others are wrong (and btw...he spoke a lot...I like how now all the sudden he was never allowed to speak). The bottom line is the Ryan worship from conservative corners is a product of marketing, largely derived from the fact that the left doesn't like his budget and him calling himself a "wonk." It's stupid. The ticket is weak, vote for it if you hate Obama and think that ticket is weaker...fair...but pretend there is some great plan as opposed to anything more than a campaign...stupid. Obama or Romney...pick a ticket...lets not pretend either one is the second coming. Edited October 12, 2012 by TheNewBills
IDBillzFan
Biden cut him of b/c... Biden cut him off because that's what Biden was told to do. You can call it what you want...color it however you want...spin it any which way but loose. In the end, the only thing everyone is discussing today is (1) was the WH handling of Benghazi and the death of four Americans a cover up, incompetence, or both? and (2) Joe Biden is a disrespectful buffoon. That's it.

So let me get this straight, in a town hall debate, Obama will interrupt Romney while he's answering the public? That should go over well

I'm not pretending either one's the second coming...I'm not even pretending that Ryan was going to provide details of the most amazing plan ever. Hell, I'm not even saying he was going to provide ANY details, because as I said...in that debate format, how many details is ANYONE going to provide? All I'm saying is that Biden, smartly, never gave him the chance. As was doubtlessly his intent. So don't project your judgmental attitude on me. After the 1st presidential debate they had to come up with a strategy to thwart the romney tact of completely changing his stripes carte Blanche as an appeal to the middle. That was extraordinary the amount of nonstop BS pouring out of romneys mouth.
