OCinBuffalo
HOW DO I GET A JOB WORKING WITH YOU??!!!??? Well, to start with, do you have a wife, kids, or anything that you can walk away from today, in the next 5 minutes, and perhaps not come back to for a month or even longer, with no real way to predict your return? No? Then you don't get no hockey tickets. The amount of Team Building you get is directly proportional to the amount of BS you have to put up with, and of course, the value of your $/hour rate on the open market. Look, in terms of industry standards, I'm actually on the frugal side. You want to see ridiculous? Go to apply to somebody like Accenture, and see what their project managers and group leaders do. OCinBuffalo
I can! No wife or kids here. Could I still live in the Syracuse area or do I need to move closer to your home office? I said to start with... Originally I had a lot more stuff there before I posted it, but then I said "forget it, most of them won't get past the first one" You can live wherever the F you want, as long as I can get a hold of you...and send you to wherever the F I want, for as long as I want. Syracuse can be your "home" in that it's where you keep your stuff. For most of the year, your "home" could just as easily be a U-haul storage locker by the Newark Airport. But, what's better? Do you know any service industry/contracting stuff/food, health care, etc. really, really, well? IF you do, then I'd rather have you as a partner, and not an employee. I will give you access to a system, that will work as you define, that will make a real difference in that industry...because it relies on you do know that difference, own it, and share it with the people you work with. Then, you can do whatever you want, and you don't have to listen to me. And, when I come to Syracuse, you can be in charge of the strippers! B-Man
Sadly, this is not satire. Can you imagine the visual of 20,000 people dressed like muppets, protesting public TV funding at the National Mall, three days before the presidential election? /dev/null
We got Roku earlier this year and love it. Roku = By the way, PBS makes up .0012% of the federal budget. I love that hollow argument. Well it's only .0012% of the federal budget. Just a drop in the bucket right? How many drops in the bucket use that same argument? Stop putting so many drops into the bucket and maybe it will stop overflowing

Million-muppet-march-an-example-of-how-the-liberal-media-spins-the-news FTA: Mecham is a sophomore at Boise State University struggling to recover from crystal meth addiction. Power to him. Bellavia is the Chief Executive Officer of Animax Entertainment. One of his company’s clients is Sesame Workshop, making him more than just a casual “fan” of Big Bird. On its face, the Reuters story appeared to be about two guys whose interests just happen to converge on the idea of a Million Muppet March. But there’s more here that makes us wonder about the veracity of the Reuters’ account. On one of Mecham’s websites, he posts a tweet wherein we learn that the application for the march, scheduled for the Saturday before Election Day, was only submitted on October 5. In that case, approval for the planned, mass D.C. event came at warp speed from city officials. (So who pays for the extra police needed?) You suppose the speed with which the application was approved had anything to do with city officials wanting to host a mass event, which will clearly be perceived as favorable to President Obama, just a few days before the election? One way the old liberal media spins the truth is to not tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Sometimes we only get just part of the truth. http://www.teaparty911.com/blog/million-muppet-march-an-example-of-how-the-liberal-media-spins-the-news/

More likely they're just hoping for an influx of people and their money. It's not like the district is in any way uncertain about going to Obama. B-Man
PBS Election Night Special Is a Reminder why it Shouldn't Be Publicly Funded by John Ziegler On Tuesday, the broadcast of the first presidential debate since “Big Bird” and PBS funding became an allegedly huge campaign issues, will be sandwiched (depending on what time zone you live in) by a PBS election special called “Race 2012.” The hour-long documentary is being advertised as a “provocative conversation about race and politics,” from “both sides of the political aisle,” but it is being grossly mis-marketed. I know this because I was interviewed for and have already seen the film. The program really deals very little with the 2012 election. It starts off pretending to be about the presidential campaign, but really isn’t at all - at least not directly. Instead it quickly devolves into a short history of how inherently racist the United States of America is, how aggrieved racial minorities still are, and how horrible white people, especially conservative white people, can be. The brief section which deals with President Obama is a complete joke. Literally none of the “experts/commentators” whose interviews were used during that portion of the film are white. It is almost as if the film’s producers think a white person commenting on Obama is as fundamentally illegitimate as most liberals seem to think of a man’s opinion on abortion. This is not just idle conjecture on my part. I gave the producers two separate interviews (both of which the producers went out of their way to lavishly praise), each of which was at least an hour long. Of that time, at least a full half hour was spent talking about the Barack Obama, about whose election I made a rather higher profile documentary of my own called “Media Malpractice.” And yet, despite having - among many other things - declared Obama’s election to be “the most racist event I have ever witnessed,” not even one word from my statements about the president made it into the film. Instead, in the opening montage, they show me saying, "People are afraid to talk about race because they will be accused of being a racist, I am just too stupid to abide by that." (Keep in mind, I was the lone white/male/conservative interviewed for the documentary and the vast majority of whose interviewees were people “of color.”) What made this odd omission even stranger was that a rather innocuous statement I made during my interviews was one of the first clips used in the film’s opening montage. When I saw that, being a filmmaker myself, my “spidey senses” were instantly tingling. The sound bite just seemed out of place and my “most racist event ever” quote would have been a much more logical choice, especially for a show which claimed that it wanted to be “provocative.” {snip} The “funniest” part of this whole equation is that the people who worked on the film were really nice to me and actually seemed to genuinely think that I would be pleased with the outcome. In some ways this may be the strongest evidence that those who produce content for PBS really do have a mentality that is so far to the left that they have literally lost the ability to sense just how far from the “middle” they really are. It is very obvious that, to them, giving a white/male/conservative even a small, purposely muted, say in their (at least partly publicly funded) film is an act of great generosity/fairness. So, I have two pieces of advice for Tuesday night’s viewing. One, unless you are prepared to view it as a dark comedy, skip “Race 2012.” Two, root hard for Mitt Romney to win so that maybe our tax dollars will no longer go towards programming which openly insults millions of tax-paying Americans. The real lesson of “Race 2012” is that PBS is a lot more dangerous than just Big Bird. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/john-ziegler/2012/10/13/pbs-election-special-reminder-why-they-shouldnt-be-publicly-funded#ixzz29Iz8s0nc
OCinBuffalo
So basically, it's just like posting here, except you'll pay me? Yes, it's exactly the same as here: you don't have to listen to me, but will find that you do, and reply to it...regularly. Now, where is BFFE? Crayonz??? Nah. Crayonz is independently wealthy, has a bentley, and does finance stuff like you do. Essentially not a fit. However, if we do open up a "harassment of competitor's customer service message board" division, Crayonz is my first call. Just imagine that for a second. Then "When I called to ask you why this feature doesn't work, you keep telling me to hit F too. I am done calling you. I have been hitting F after every thing I do in this software for the whole damn day, and it doesn't do anything. Is this some Canadian thing? Should I try hitting A after everything instead?"
