dayman Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 (edited) Any reason anyone can think of? We're not great out of the division either but it's not that bad. Would you say perhaps we are not very talented and if a team knows us then we're dead in the water? Perhaps we're out coached? Perhaps we don't "get" the urgency of division games? Is our division just good? This is killing us. We're the punching bag of our own division. Edited October 3, 2012 by TheNewBills
sodbuster Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 We are not lacking talent. That is for sure. And, in my opinion our division isn't head and shoulders above the others (just look at the Jets this year).
Shoutbox Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 It would be more relevant to ignore the 2009 season and just state that our lame duck head coach, Chan Gailey, is currently 2-12 in the AFC East and 10-12 outside of it.
pimp on da' net Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 We have been out-coached in this division for years. Let's start there, this would make better evaluators and developers of the talent at hand...take Harbaugh (SF) and Wade Phillips with Houston defense.

inkman Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 We are not lacking talent. That is for sure. I don't think the talent is certain on this roster. They are lacking at QB, WR, LB. This lack of talent and the coaches inability to put the talent that is on the roster in a position to succeed is why they can't overcome the defecit they have in ability.
KD in CA Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Any reason anyone can think of? Sure, it's a simple matter of comparing the Bills to their division opponents. Pats: Offense is vastly more talent, defense is marginally more talent, coaching is vastly superior. That adds up to an automatic 0-2. Jets: Offense equally bad, defense significantly more talented, coaching significantly better. That generally add up to 0-2. Miami: Equally bad all around. That's a 1-1. So there you go, 1-5 (.167 winning %) should be the expected result and that's pretty close to what has happened.
BuffaloBillsForever Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Get Eric Mangini on the staff. Quick, cheap and and potentially an effective tool against the AFC East.
Dorkington Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 We are not lacking talent. Yes we are. Even with the worst coaches in the world, the players should be able to perform. They don't. We are lacking talent at every level in this organization.
Meathead Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 bills will still go 3-3 in the division and be in strong contention for a wildcard deal wid it
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 I hope things turn around this year but if not its.time for Chan to go.
