Bills!Win! Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 This is what Obama sounds like without a TelePrompTer
TheMadCap Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 one opinion; Helen Smith is a psychologist specializing in forensic issues in Knoxville, Tennessee, and blogs at drhelen.blogspot.com. No TelePrompter will do that to you...
dayman Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 I'm on CBS, mostly because of laziness (on vacation, can't be bothered to find a real channel). whao there let us not get carried away...never said CNN was a real channel hehe
DC Tom Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I feel like Obama is almost unprepared. Weird. He's either trying to wing it, on the idea that "I'm smart and special" that the media has been reinforcing for him. Or he truly is unprepared. He's almost totally defensive, though...and playing defense like the Bills in the 4th quarter this past weekend.
Chef Jim Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Three minutes!! I want to see one of them go Green Day on Lehrer
TheMadCap Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 He's either trying to wing it, on the idea that "I'm smart and special" that the media has been reinforcing for him. Or he truly is unprepared. Similar to Wanny's defense, no adjustments when you are getting smoked...
DC Tom Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 And now Obama's telling us how to be a leader...
fjl2nd Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 So, no mention of the 47% comments? Surprising. Maybe Obama is saving that for later debates...
DC Tom Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 So, no mention of the 47% comments? Surprising. Maybe Obama is saving that for later debates... Or he knows he'll get butchered on them, since his entire campaign is based on telling people they're victims.
B-Man Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I feel like Obama is almost unprepared. Weird. Perhaps its this......... Debate Prep: Obama Retreats To Spartan "Debate Gym" To Prepare for Bout, Like Rocky In Rocky III and Rocky IV Just Kidding, He's Practicing at a Las Vegas Luxury Golf Course President Creature Comforts and Commander of Me-Time. President Barack Obama arrived in Nevada last night to begin three days of debate preparation at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort, a luxurious golf community just a few miles from the Las Vegas strip. Obama once heard that a man must work hard, accomplish great things, and then he can live in high style. He just decided to cut out the middlemen.
TheMadCap Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Hopefully someone will post some postmortem from MSNBC for laughs. Thier heads are probably melting down right about now in Garafallo style: " I don't wanna talk to them anymore...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
Doc Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I have a different take. I think that he's finally being honest and realizes he can't defend his first 4 years. This is the humblest I've seen him. So his strategy is to talk about what he'll do in the next 4 years. The problem is, it should have been done in the first 4 years. And again I think he realizes that.
Just Jack Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I was taking part in this question/poll app on my phone. Anything favorable for Obama got high votes. Anything for Romney got low votes. But the one question "Are you better off now than you were four years ago", got more "no" responses than "yes" and "the same" combined.
truth on hold Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I was taking part in this question/poll app on my phone. Anything favorable for Obama got high votes. Anything for Romney got low votes. But the one question "Are you better off now than you were four years ago", got more "no" responses than "yes" and "the same" combined. I wonder how this would have scored: "Are the Bills better off now than they were 4 years ago?"
GG Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 CBS poll just showed a resounding win for Romney. I didn't watch the whole thing, but it was pretty convincing from my vantage point.
meazza Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I wonder how this would have scored: "Are the Bills better off now than they were 4 years ago?" We finished 7-9 in 2008. We could possibly finish 8-8 and the answer would be yes...
TheMadCap Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 That was about as one sided as the fourth quarter of the Pats* - Bills game...
Duck_dodgers007 Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 So, no mention of the 47% comments? Surprising. Maybe Obama is saving that for later debates... Or Bush at all. Romney was claiming he has a totally new plan, ever tried before, lol, whatever
TheMadCap Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Or Bush at all. Romney was claiming he has a totally new plan, ever tried before, lol, whatever Yeah, he should have mentioned Bush and made that bloodbath even bigger!
dayman Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 (edited) We finished 7-9 in 2008. We could possibly finish 8-8 and the answer would be yes... Since nobody thinks we're on the path to playoffs any more than we were then the answer would be no...if you asked me. Edited October 4, 2012 by TheNewBills
