thanks, PTR. you were the first of several to give me a heads up on this. it is a good time to be a 'Mats fan (then again, when isn't it).

 

and lots of good music out there.

just got the new Patterson Hood CD, which is very good.

 

and happened upon a Kills' song, "Pale Blue Eyes," which has blown me away. nice to see this two-person outfit growing into their own, and producing music that is less far less forced and far less navel-gazing than much of what jack white puts out.

 

couple of other bands and groups i've happened upon. gotta check my playlist because haven't had much time to listen to music, but a visit to a music store is necessary and imminent.

i knew it sounded familiar, and had echoes of Lou. and yet, to me, there's something to this Kills' version that strikes me as fresh.
