KOKBILLS Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Do you think it would help or hurt this team? I do not wish injury on anyone, but I actually think it could help and maybe force us to be a run-first team... -we got 2 effective RBs -there are some injuries on the OLine, but usually it is easier for backup linemen to come in and be more effective in run-blocking -Thigpen is more mobile then Fitz, maybe we can FINALLY start running play-actions and roll-outs from under center instead of just lining up in Pistol/Spread formations all game. -maybe our Mandatory 4-man only pass rush gets a breather, and can be more effective in rushing the passer Depends on when he gets hurt...We've already won 2 Games so getting that #1 Overall is going to be tough...But if we could somehow turn a Fitz injury into Geno Smith, then I would say nothing could help this Franchise more...Nothing... Thigpen brings NOTHING to the table Yep...There is certainly nothing better than Fitz currently on our Roster...No question about that... Now...On West Virginia's Roster that may be a different story...
Ozymandius Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 It does nothing for us because we haven't been drafing young QBs with potential that can get playing experience in that scenario.
Best Player Available Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 (edited) Thigpen brings NOTHING to the table Not true. He's good for a laugh when he gets beaned warming up on the sideline. Edited October 2, 2012 by Best Player Available
Dragonborn10 Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 If Fitz gets hurt....."with the third pick in the 2013 NFL Draft the Buffalo Bills select....." 2-14 would get the first pick in the draft next year
BringBackFergy Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 2-14 would get the first pick in the draft next year Yes, but if the Saints stay at 0 and 16...another team will trade up ahead of us so we can pick up that stellar CB with mechanically enhanced fibula from Eastern Idaho School of Dentistry.
