Buftex Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Jeez, the short sighted majority seems to be rearing their ugly heads once again! Billsfaninnyc is absoutely correct. 8 weeks ago, most here wanted this entire team sent to the scrap heap, TD fired, Bledsoe benched, yadda yadda yadda...they win six games striaght and everyone is all the sudden convinced that they are the best team in the leauge. They lose one game (albeit an important one), to what is/has been all year, a better team and everyone is back to their whinnig ways. Sure it sucks that they lost. Don't lose sight of the fact that this team has shown real on the field progress for the first time in 5 years. After a bad start, they acheived quite a bit, but they still have a ways to go. In my opinon, the Bills have finally established themselves as one of the second tier teams in the leauge. They have finally learned to win on the rode, they won consecutive games, they started to get contributions from recent 2nd to 7th round draft picks, and most importantly, they beat teams that they should beat. It has been the bottom feeding teams like the Cardnals, Browns, 49ers and Dolphins that used to beat us every year, and keep us in their end of the power rankings. We are not one of those teams any more. We didn't lose to those teams, and in fact, we demolished them. We didn't eek out wins against the teams that we should have dismantled. As bad as todays loss was, try to put some perspective on it. We actually legitmately have something to look forward to next season... I suspect many of you will come of the ledge before too long, and realize that we have a pretty decent football team, and next year, they will hopefully take the next step, and establish themselves as one of the very top tier teams. Maybe we have been bottom feeding for so long, we can't see this season for what it has been....
