I'm afraid we're falling into the same short game/underneath passing that doomed us last year.

Stevie isn't a long ball guy, Donald Jones is averaging less than 7.5 per catch and almost never seems to run downfield routes, Chandler is a great target but he's a TE, and as far as I can tell there have been no attempts to hookup with Graham for anything but short stuff.

Our strong running game has compensated for this in the last two games, but the Patriots aren't KC or Cleveland and they know how to defend the short Fitz game.

We will need to make some significant downfield throws in this game or get ready for lots of jumped routes and 8 man fronts and three n' outs.

This might be the game where Fitz starts to hold the ball a little longer, maybe some pump fakes, and allow those double moves to develop in the secondary that get our WR's open deep.

He needs to trust our line and stop making every throw inside three seconds. If we play conservative ball I think we're gonna get killed.

Couldn't agree more Webster Guy. They need to take a couple deep shots, even if it's incomplete or even a pick. Keep those safeties honest and respecting the deep ball. And with the running game going so well a nice play action bomb would be perfect.

You don't need to go deep if theshort game works! You go deep to open running lanes by backing up the defenders. So far we have not had the need to "create" a running game

They went deep once or twice a game last season ... How'd that work out?

The Bills lost their 2 starting RB's and they are still 3rd in the leagur in rushing yards.

KC, who we stopped and the Skins

RGIII has as many rushing yards as their #1 RB
