The "New Normal" is the Soylent Green of our time

Recommended Posts

The New Normal is the latest talking points that have been handed down to the media. It’s an attack on the successes and successful in America which has made this country an exceptional one. Our legacy is being ground up for our consumption by Obama Inc. and force fed to us with an redistributionist label on it.

So as a nation we should settle for things to stay the way they are?

No need to strive to better our self or our country.

Wow that's what you got out of that? I'll make it simple for you: Success is our American legacy which can only be built on by successful people not ground up relabeled and fed to us as the "New Normal"

Dont worry....as long as youre an illegal immigrant black mexican lesbian who collects food stamps and needs a free third term abortion between shifts at the local GM plant, youre all set.

The rest of us....well, you need to kick in your fair share because you dont deserve what you got, in the first place.

BTW, to help your understanding, "ground up" is a metaphor for redistribution.

8.3% unemployment

$16 tril debt

$4.00 gas

we should just learn to live with it?

Success is our American legacy which can only be built on by successful people not ground up relabeled and fed to us as the "New Normal"

I honestly have no idea what is going on in this thread... it's either a (very) poor attempt at trolling or it's a (very) poor attempt to make an issue out of nothing. Is this something that's being discussed on talk radio or something?

All of the above.

The New Normal is a term you will hear about more and more. It basically means that there is nothing that can be done to fix our current poor economic situation and that we should just get use to it.

The New Normal is basically the media finally figuring out that the next 20 years will be unlike the last 20 years.

The new normal will continue until private sector debt decreases from 235% of GDP to a more sustainable level where it can again grow at a modest rate. Most of this debt reduction is baby boomers paying off their mortgages and outstanding debt & the under employed and jobless defaulting on their subprime loan.

Luckily for young America 50 million baby boomers will be exiting the workforce over the next 20 years creating opportunities that demographics has thus far prevented. In the meantime I encourage everyone to stay away from debt, invest in their education & businesses & personal growth & not autos & homes.

Huge opportunities exist in IT & healthcare as we move into a 21st century economy. Don't listen to main street or wall street who want you to spend like its 1999, build up a cash reserve and rainy day fund and buy used goods and shop local.
