inkman Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 woah, Chan is not screwing around. wonder if he has something up his sleeve for the NE game. Some kind of big trade or free agent signing? This may be an interesting week after all. Or maybe he just isn't happy with Moorman. I guess it could be fun to dream up unrealistic possibilities but I prefer to remain realistic.
GOBILLS78 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 (edited) He's the holder on kicks, too, right? (Revoke my fan card if you must.) Edited September 25, 2012 by GOBILLS78
JM57 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Lolin at the "big things for the Pats game" posts. Unless Chan is going the way of that one high school coach and going for every 4th down, Moorman's roster spot will be.....A PUNTER! Panacea!
jimmy10 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 (edited) So then who the hell is going to be the punter? Edit: Or the holder on kicks? Edited September 25, 2012 by jimmyo
bbb Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 WTF is right. I don't watch preseason games much, but I kept hearing how he was better than ever because of the new way he was kicking it and getting it spin back from the end zone, so it wouldn't go in it.
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Maybe Thigpen will hold and that'll be the reason they keep him on the roster all season
prissythecat Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 F5! F5! What does the F5 reference mean?
NoSaint Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I can't imagine dario and stallworth are worth cutting moorman over. I hope it is to make room for someone better than those two i would hope its to make room for a better punter. i mean, do you really think they cut their punter for a WR?
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 (edited) What does the F5 reference mean? It's a 1-button refresh in IE. During the Mario Williams courtship people didn't want to miss any news (or our epic thread here on TSW) so they just kept hitting F5. Edited September 25, 2012 by JÂy RÛßeÒ
In-A-Gadda-Levitre Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Too surprising to trust Twitter. But with Powell in camp this wouldn't be a complete blind-side. Powell isn't in camp anymore, he was released at the cutdown. The Jests tried him out, but didn't sign him. AFAIK, he's out of the NFL, but I guess the Bills could resign him.
prissythecat Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora Bills are releasing veteran stalwart P Brian Moorman. Surprise move. Have a feeling he might not be a free agent all that long. Wow. Yeah, he hasn't had a great start to the season, but this is still very surprising. I cannot find any other media outlet confirming the release yet
bills44 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I've been pretty critical of Moorman the past few years, but I didn't see this coming - at least not now.
Since 1972 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 (edited) Setting standard of: "perform or else". Who's next? Edited September 25, 2012 by kidprison
kabnt2005 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 What does the F5 reference mean? Hit F5 on your keyboard.
bills44 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Setting standard of, "perform or else". Who's next? Ruvell Martin and Brad Smith, hopefully.
BillsVet Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Shades of Trent Edwards circa week 3 2010. Vastly different position, but same result: go with a guy then cut him at the beginning of the season. Strange indeed.
