SactoBillFan Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I still can't seem to believe it. Oh well thanks for everything Brian.
TheBrownBear Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Wow! To be honest, this is shocking to me. Has he been that bad? Anyhow, thanks for the memories Brian. You were one of the lone bright spots during a dark period in Bills history. I'll never forget some of those awesome fakes he had early in his career. He was a great athlete, not just a great punter.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Are you suggesting the Bills don't have their online-act together for a press conference? Weird. To be fair, it is 4:30 pm. They are probably long gone.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 The presser definitely is making it obvious that Moorman was released based on his lack of production. Sad to see Moorman go, best of luck to him!
buffalo1983 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 No link at all for the conference? Not evenWGR??
Dorkington Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I'm relieved that it sounds like it's purely performance based, and that there are suggestions of other teams looking at him. Thanks for the service Brian, Wall of Fame you go!
The Cincinnati Kid Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 This move makes me mad. Regardless of the reasons, he has been one of the Best Bills throughout this pitiful decade. I get it, but I'm not happy about it.
aristocrat Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 At first I thought it was a money thing but then found it his deal is all guaranteed. All the best brian. Hope you can find a spot not in our division.
Best Player Available Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 a designated holder who does nothing else? Well, it would be in addition to holding the clipboard. Good work if you can get it.
The Big Cat Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 This move makes me mad. Regardless of the reasons, he has been one of the Best Bills throughout this pitiful decade. I get it, but I'm not happy about it. I get the emotional attachment, I do. But it's time to win football games. Emotions don't factor now.
Jauronimo Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 (edited) I get the emotional attachment, I do. But it's time to win football games. Emotions don't factor now. Only idiots have feelings. Edited September 25, 2012 by Jauronimo
apuszczalowski Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 obligatory "they cut (insert player name) and kept kelsay?? wtf?!?!" post kelsays ok now, Brad Smith is the new whipping boy, surprisingly more of a whipping boy then Ruvell Martin
BuckeyeBill Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Very proud to have Moorman on our team and I wish him the best of luck. I recall clearly when the Bills would go three and out, a part of me was looking forward to seeing Moorman boot a 60 yard punt. It's sad that those are the best memories I have had over the past 12 years in Buffalo Bills football.
papazoid Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 buddy says moorman did NOT ask for his release....
HOUSE Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I am a little surprised at the timing but Morman had a pretty good preseason but we all know the Bills liked Powell My only concern is holding for FG's?
DJasper Probincrux III Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 If Powell was so great, why was he not picked up by another team? If Moorman was so great why did Seattle cut him....twice. Your logic is faulty. Punters are very rarely drafted often spend several years puttering around before landing a steady job and are usually guys you've never heard of before. I seem to remember some uproar when we let Chris Mohr go to keep some guy from NFL Europe...
Astrobot Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Good luck, Brian. I know you can still catch on with another team. But The Bills are not used to moving on when a player has reached diminishing returns. We just netted +8 yards per punt with Powell.
Captain Hindsight Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 "PUNT! PUNT! PUNT!" Good times in Dickie J's last year, good times
eball Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I'm relieved that it sounds like it's purely performance based, and that there are suggestions of other teams looking at him. Thanks for the service Brian, Wall of Fame you go! Good god I hope not. He made the Bills' all-time top 50 list, not top 20.
Mark Vader Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 wait--the Pats punter's name is "Zoltan"? Seriously? JR as a Michigan fan I am surprised at you. You do know Zoltan Mesko was the Punter for Michigan a few years ago, right?
