BillsGuyInMalta Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I sincerely hope they sign one of the tryout WRs. I'd actually prefer Alexander over Stallworth at this point though, as long as Danario checks out healthy.

The Big Cat Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 What's with all the WR's passing through OBD? Still no confidence in #11?
BringBackFergy Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Big Cat - Maybe they are looking for that "tall, physical specimen" they missed out on in taking Graham...I think both of these WR's are over 6'2". Nelson is out so Chan feels that he may need a tallish guy akin to Nelson for Fitz' benefit?? No idea why, but I don't mind them looking for sales in the Sunday paper.
Captain Caveman Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Didn't he spend all training camp with NE? How much of the playbook does he remember?

Good thoughts--could also be a contingency plan for big, up-the-seam scheming with running backs potentially in short supply..?
MARCELL DAREUS POWER Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 either going to cut martin, and bring in a better wr... ie little value in martin on the team? thats whay im guessing... especially since martin is hurt too i like our 3, stevie, jones, and graham... but we need a more legit option. graham is green... plus spiller is out for a week....

Danario Alexander is 6'5", though.

I'm thinking it has more and more to do with Martin than anything else... Seems like a once-reliable vet like Stallworth or Alexander would be more valuable to our roster than Martin...r

Thunderstealer Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 The loss of Nelson seems unimportant through two wins. But that's foolish to believe. Probably in practice the void is really felt and the coaches need more talent to do what we want to do.
Fan in Chicago Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 ProFootballTalk @ProFootballTalk The Bills worked out WR Donte' Stallworth today, per league source. Whether or not we sign him, I am just happy to see the FO never rests while looking for possible upgrades.
Maybe Someday Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Whether or not we sign him, I am just happy to see the FO never rests while looking for possible upgrades. I agree 100%. Midseason workouts like this were how we got Pears and Chandler…possibly Urbik too but I can’t remember his situation. Stallworth could probably step in and contribute right away if we choose to sign him. He’s been around the league awhile and should be able to pick up the offense pretty quickly. Alexander would probably take a little longer to pick things up since he’s young and fairly green but I saw him play a game with the Rams last year and he was a beast.
808 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 if alexander is healthy... IF he is id think it would be him based just on upside

BringBackFergy Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Who doesn't? That's funny...I thought we did ok vs. The KC running backs and yesterday they ran for 200+ yds..
....lybob Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I'd rather bring back Fendi Onobun as a WR
