Jamaal Charles ran for 233 today against the Saints and was held to 3 yards by the Bills - Hillis did rush 11 for 66 that day. Trent Richardson held to less than three yards a carry.

Looks like great team defense. Barnett looks great against the run. The D-line is dominating the LOS.

Any thougth on Sheppard and Moats in run support?

Hillis got most of his yards in garbage time after the Bills were up big...when the game was still relatively close, he really didn't have much either...

Up until the score was 35-3, here were the stat lines for KC running backs:

Jamaal Charles: 6 carries for 3 yards

Peyton Hillis: 5 carries for 14 yards

Shaun Draughn: 1 carry for 3 yards

Total: 12 carries for 20 yards(1.67 YPC)

All of their yards came when the Bills were playing the pass 100% and were likely in some form of prevent defense.

Bills run D is just stifling, the DLine literally moves nowhere...

Our run defense has been stellar in three games regardless of stats. It's the biggest change in the team and a huge factor in a 2-1 start. People thought, including myself, that the pass rush will a huge difference. But the run defense is the biggest change and factor, and Mario is great against the run.

The LB's--who everyone thought would be a liability--have been awesome against the run. The only negative I saw--Moats bites like mad on play-action, probably because he is so focused on stopping the run.

Agreed huge difference this year. If the offense can really get clicking who knows how good the d will look if they start being able to pin their ears back regularly.
